Compatible with these Shimano brake calipers: For Shimano XT BR-M8000, BR-M785 For Shimano XTR BR-M9000, BR-M9020, BR-M987, BR-M988, BR-M985 For Shimano SLX BR-M7000, BR-M675, BR-M666 For Shimano Deore BR-M615, BR-RS785, BR-R785, BR-CX75, BR-R515, BR-R315 For Shimano Alfine BR-S700 When do you replace your pads? Dymoece recommends not letting the pad's braking material wear thinner than 0.9 mm, but it certainly doesn't hurt to replace them sooner than that. My personal rule is to not let the pads get any thinner than the thickness than a dime. You'll also know that they have worn much too thin once the pad spring starts making contact with the rotor. If that is happening you know that you should have replaced the brake pads awhile back! How to choose bicycle disc brake pads? In my opinion you should run metallic pads if: -You are heavy -You ride downhill -The conditions are wet, muddy, etc. and run resin pads or semi metallic pads if: -you are light -Conditions are dry -You like lots of initial grab -Your riding is less hard on brakes i.e. dirt jump/street, XC, etc. Although I have now recommended pads for you to use, you have to make your own choices on pads according to your riding, the above list should be considered to be a guideline, and not used as a strict rule.

I don't think there's any reason to buy premium pads
I've bought loads of these pads over the years and have always been happy with their quality - they last as well as the Shimano originals (even on my DH bike which sees some pretty heavy use) minus the fins, and lock up the wheels perfectly. If you make sure that you clean your rotors before installation, and bed the pads and rotors in properly afterwards these pads are fantastic.I will say however, you're paying a premium for pads on Amazon, there are plenty of sellers on eBay selling much the same item for significantly less

Good shimano replacement for me.
I am an occasional MTB user riding mainly bridleways and some red/blue trails. I bought this product to replace the contaminated pads in my shimano brakes that were squealing. They arrived quickly, were easy to fit and no more squealing brakes. Not done too many miles with them yet, so can't comment on longevity, but they seem to work well in all weather's for my riding ability/style and worth the money just to ride quietly!

Bought as a replacement
Bought these to replace worn brakes on my hard tail (but made the mistake of buying them for my full suspension bike). They will come in handy for when I need to replace the pads in my current bike

Poor quality
Brought these as spares at the end of December for my nukeproof mega. They have been hanging in my garage waiting to be used. Fitted the brake pads today and they fell to pieces. Poor quality and very disappointed as it resulted in missing a £45 day uplift at a bike park.

Bike stopped when asked, what more from a brake pad?
Good discs. Suggest if replacing as squeaky brakes then consider also replacing discs as otherwise oil gets straight back into pad and squeals again. Otherwise good value.

Garbage
worst pads I have ever bought, within a few hrs the surface was cracked, and lumps came of the plate, leaving two broken brakes, dont touch.
