Great SSD Server drives
These drives were amazing and extremely solid. They were easy to install and the drive speeds were tremendously speedy.

received used drives containing someone else's data
The ad didn't say these datacenter SSDs were used or refurbished so I believed I was buying old stock SSDs in new condition for appropriate prices. They arrived in sealed static bags. But one of the drives has just under a year of use on it already, the other over 2 years. Both contain previous users' data. Since I don't know how worn out these are, I can't trust them for their intended purpose and they are not a good value.

The are used but they are server drives
Ok I think I got a fair deal. The ad is deceptive. As mentioned the drives are used. It should be listed as a used drive. If they had some kind of indicator of how much use these had that would be best. I read the SMART data off the drive I received. It showed 7084 hours power on hours, ~11.7GB of NAND writes. Given these are mid range server ssd with write endurance of peta bytes instead of consumer ssd in the TB its still probably a good deal. I have had several 1TB SSD drive died without warning. The consumer write endurance is BW vs this drive 1.6PBW so spec wise it still better. However not sure if the specs meet reality. In my reality I have had less issues with my much older mechanical spinning HD and they typically do not completely die like my last two SSDs.
