So, Itook her advice and customized for optimal results.I’m 73 and have no desire to emphasize my wrinkles anywhere.I moisturized first, paying special attention to knees, elbows and other wrinkly areas per Kylie‘s video.When I saw how dark brown this tanning lotion is, I decided on an abundance of caution. I’m going to a wedding on July 4 I don’t want any ugly mess ups! I felt as though I would have more control using the gloves rather than any other applicator. I used equal-sized dollops of body lotion and tanning lotion mixing both together well using the black gloves. I did this by using motions as if I were ringing my hands together. I applied the mix to both legs from above the ankle to below the knee and rubbed it in well. Using the back of my gloved hand, I smoothed a little over my feet and knees. I skipped my foot where it meets my ankles because there are already wrinkles there. I applied a bit, just smoothing some from the back of the glove across my forward foot area and barely touched my toes. Wrinkles in the joints right! Rubbed all that in. Next came the arms where I did pretty much the same thing using the majority on the front of the glove for my lower arms and just a bit of what was on the back of a glove for my wrists and elbows. I applied a thinner layer to my chest area and shoulders. I put nothing on my neck since it is wrinkly, and a bit darker. Also, I didn’t apply any to my face during this trial application. Everything came out great.Next day, did the same thing legs, arms and chest and shoulders. I just used about a 2/3 ratio this time.All good. OK OKThis morning are used more tanning lotion with just a little bit of moisturizing lotion. This time, when there was not very much at all left on the gloves, I did my face.All is great!One more application like this morning’s tomorrow morning and I’ll be practically perfect!!!I would definitely mix moisturizing lotion with this tanning lotion since spread some more evenly and you can “tan” step by step.PS. Yes, This tanning lotion smells. It’s not horrific but it’s certainly not good. Mixing it with body lotion helps that and since this works so well I’ll deal with the smell. Just use a time when I’m not going out.

I have used this self tanner for years. The application is easy. It goes on without streaking. The color is a beautiful, natural, golden, caramel tan. Almost everyone thinks I've been laying in the sun. I gave it 4 stars because I wish it penetrated deeper into the skin so it would stay on after showering.

This is my favorite tanning lotion. I have been using it for years to give me that nice golden tan without actually sitting in the sun. I use it all year round to keep my nice glow.The best thing about this product is no orange after effect or weird fading issue. I've tried other lotions in the past like Loreal and Neurtrogena and I always turned a shade of orange or it faded in weird spots and then I just look blotchy.The product is a thick dark brown lotion of sort that spreads on very easily. The dark brown color is to check if there are any streaks that need to be blended in. I noticed that I always seem to smooth out the back of knees and with the color guide (brown color) it helps me see if I missed rubbing it in.I usually shower before I put the lotion on and scrub my body really good (or where I plan to put the lotion). Toma does have a body scrub, but you can use any body scrub. The best result is use a body scrub with no lotion or moisture additives. I feel like when my skin is dry, it soaks up the tanning lotion better.I put this on at night and wear loose sleeping pants and a big shirt (this is so none of the color guide will get on my sheets). I wake up in the morning and I'm tan. I usually shower again just to rinse off the color guide so it doesn't get on any of my clothes. You'll see it come off in the shower, but it doesn't take off your tan. If you want to be darker you can re-apply it. I usually only do that the next day since I like setting my tan in while I sleep.This is a great product and the tan lasts about 7 days. It also depends on how many times you've applied it and how dark you like to be. I usually will apply it two days in a row to get to the color I like.I will keep purchasing this product for as long as I can and as long as it's available. I love it!!!

When does product came out 20 years ago it was made like a thick substance. Was it runny you could put it on you didn’t rub off on your clothes didn’t turn the yellow didn’t come off in the water but the product of today turns me color if it gets wet, it comes off and leave streaks and it comes off on your clothes and Your sheets if you put it on tonight I don’t know what they’ve done, but they need to go back to the original version. They’ve taken away all of the good attributes of this tanning product.

Tomas used to be the best of all suess tanner lotions mostly because they had the bronzing color guide but now a days is just ok it really comes off on clothes more than other tanners with color guides the price is reasonable though just okay 3 stars.
