desertcart.com: The Dark Vault (The Archived): 9781368027700: Schwab, Victoria: Books Review: Best book I've read in a long time! - This book is awesome. Story was so original! Love this author and everything she writes! Review: Another Fantastic World from Victoria Scwab - I missed this book when it first came out, and am absolutely delighted to have the full series in one package. The world, as is to be expected from Schwab, is spellbinding and fully realized, but it is the characters that make this so wonderful. The main character Mackenzie/Mac/Kenzie takes on names and roles as she moves between worlds, and the rest of the cast each has their own History to tell. I hope that more tales from the Archives come to light in the future!

Dark Vault
I purchased this book from Amazon to read with my bestie @mycornerforbooksand and @popthebutterfly readalong. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟The Dark Vault: The Archived by Victoria Schwab. Mackenzie Bishop's family is moving into an old hotel to open a new coffee shop but the secrets she keeps may be her undoing. New friends in a new place make for a busy transition and History should just be left alone. Once you unwrap one piece the rest comes unraveling quickly. This book in the beginning was confusing for me but after a few chapters once the world is buildt the book immediately sucks you in. It's action packed, mystery unravels one piece at a time but so quickly, there is romance blossoming, and parents hovering, it's the perfect book for any genre reader. Now onto Book 2: The Unbound.🌟🌟🌟🌟The Dark Vault: Book 2 The Unbound by Victoria Schwab. When Mac finally settles into her two worlds colliding she begins to realize change is coming. The Nightmares are too real and her parents are smothering and her new friends at her new school are sarcastic and people around her keep disappearing and it's all too much until an old familiar face appears. That's when the world begins to unravel in a whole different direction. Will Mac be able to save Wes again? Will her memories and nightmare threaten her forever? Or will this be the biggest battle she's ever fought to prove her loyalty and love? Romance is sprinkled in every page while Mac fights Histories and fights for her sense of normal. It's not as action packed as the first book but it was still a page turner.

Beautiful Bindup of an Awesome Series
This is not a third book in the Archived series but it IS a beautiful bind up of the two existing books and includes a short story. I hope the release of this beauty will help more find this series! It has a very unique premise and you can’t help but love the characters Scwhab has created. Highly recommend!

book review
Disclaimer: I bought this on my own for my book club! Book Series: The Archieved 1-2.5 Rating: 3/5 Publication Date: August 14, 2018 Genre: YA Paranormal Recommended Age: 15+ (language, some gore, some violence, some mature scenes involving what can be seen as sex) Publisher: Disney-Hyperion Pages: 704 Amazon Link Synopsis: Imagine a place where the dead rest on shelves like books. Each body has a story to tell, a life seen in pictures only Librarians can read. The dead are called Histories, and the vast realm in which they rest is the Archive. Da first brought Mackenzie Bishop here four years ago, when she was twelve years old, frightened but determined to prove herself. Now Da is dead, and Mac has grown into what he once was: a ruthless Keeper, tasked with stopping often violent Histories from waking up and getting out. Because of her job, she lies to the people she loves, and she knows fear for what it is: a useful tool for staying alive. Being a Keeper isn't just dangerous-it's a constant reminder of those Mac has lost, Da's death was hard enough, but now that her little brother is gone too, Mac starts to wonder about the boundary between living and dying, sleeping and waking. In the Archive, the dead must never be disturbed. And yet, someone is deliberately altering Histories, erasing essential chapters. Unless Mac can piece together what remains, the Archive itself may crumble and fall. Review: I felt, overall, that this was a great book. The character development was amazing and the world building was very well done. I loved the writing and I felt that, if you’re a horror fan and/or a ghost fan, then this is a good book/series for you. The book is made up of two books and a short story. The first book went very well done, the pacing was really good, and it was the superior of the two books. However, I felt that the pacing in the second book was so slow and both books took awhile to get into. The beginnings are the weak points of this book and sometimes the world building is overdone to the point of making the book extremely tedious for the reader. I had issues with the second book of this book. The book was very disjointed and I feel like a lot of the elements I liked in the first book was not present in the second. The second tended to focus more on the high school life of this girl rather than the supernatural aspect of it. Verdict: It’s a bit tedious, but it’s worth the read if you’re a Schwab fan.

VE Schwab is a genius
Yet again I was pulled into a riveting story that did not let go. I just wish it wasn't over.
