For guys with thick coarse back hair something that works!
So I had some unwanted hair on my back that I wanted to remove, and by some, I mean it looks like I've been smuggling shag carpets under my shirts for years. I knew I didn't want something too runny and I didn't want to deal with the paper strips and timing; so that's when I came across this Kolua Wax for coarse hair. I was trying to decide between this formula or the one for sensitive skin but I figured with the big job and it's not in a too sensitive area like the thunder from down under, that this would be the route to go. Comes with 1lb of wax beads + popsicle sticks for application. For an entire back you're going to use most if not all of the 1lb worth of beads; it's just a lot of real estate to deal with. Also since I didn't have a wax warmer I had to go the ol microwave carefully route. These beads melted SURPRISINGLY well and once reached the "honey-like" consistency I knew it was showtime. Note this did take a few minutes, and definitely don't rush this process you DO NOT want molten hot wax poured on you (unless you're into that, and if so there's other waxes that can be used for that purpose). Now obviously since it was my back I needed help applying it to the regions of interest and my volunteer wax-specialist said application was easy. Once you form a nice little wax "strip" it takes a few seconds for it to start to harden, but it's still too malleable for pulling purposes. The directions are spot on that once the wax is cool and no longer sticky to the touch it's good to pull. I'm not going to beat around the bush, it is painful at times, borderline getting hit with a whip level pain, but theres minimal wax residue left over, minimal irritation, and it absolutely clears house. If the wax has been applied thick enough and cooled to the right consistency, every hair follicle in that region is going the way of the dodo. What's interesting is that they recommend 1/4" length of hair and some of my hair met that requirement, other hairs were 1/2" or longer and the wax removed all of it without a hitch. I didn't need to double back and go for a second round, though I probably would've refrained from that because once you're done, you're done. You throw in the towel because there's only so much punishment one can take at a time. In the end, a job like this at a reputable salon would run $140 + tip depending on where you go. So for ~$20, AND it being our first time attempting such a monumentous task, I am very impressed with the result. My ENTIRE back is smooth, it's clean, and as mentioned irritation was kept to a minimum. No harsh chemical smells or any smell at all for that matter which for me was another big plus. All in all if you have coarse, ethnic hair or you really just want to eliminate all trace of hair in a trouble spot, you'll be hard pressed to find a product that does what this Kolua Wax does with the same level of ease.

BUY THIS NOW! You will thank yourself!
THANK YOU to all the brave people who posted photos of your success with this company's wax. Koluawax beads cool on your skin (similar feel of soft plastic). You just pull it up and off. Hair is trapped in wax no longer on your body. This is hands down the #1 Best item I ever purchased. Chose to purchase only after searching every personal wax product and warmers online. Our daughter 13yrs begged to get this so she didn't have to have razor bumps from shaving her arm pit areas anymore. Nair and other hair remover creams caused burn like red areas on her. I timed the Nair and she washed it off under cans time length limit. So I knew that creams/foams didn't work. Bought the KolunaWax Warmer kit plus extra blue color wax bags. Koulawax products have highest number of positive 4 & 5 star reviews then any other brand. Also a big selling point for me was not having to buy and use those hard cloth strips(like you must use w sticky honey waxes). KoluaWax is easy for me. Wax melts in minutes on high then I turn dial to the middle setting to prevent chance of burning skin. Dial setting helps keep wax the perfect temp for your skin. If you buy this you will be very happy to not have hairy burnt skin, use razors resulting in bumps or creams that torture your body leaving tons of hair still on you! Put melted wax right on w wood sticks included w each bag, wait seconds checking once no see if its no longer sticky the flick up the bottom edge of wax and pull quickly. All hairs and the follicles are stuck right in the wax. No having to do areas over. It all comes off. My daughter & I are very happy. My husband was happy to use it also. We purchased 4 more blue wax bags on Prime Day after using warmer just two times. Check the wax listings they had a coupon e used for percent off for each amount of bags ordered. Since the blue wax works everywhere on body it's easier for me to buy blue then the other 2 color choices. Real BONUS is NOT having to pay high salon waxing prices. This wax is Spectacular🌟 wish I could give this 10 stars. I included photos.

Been purchasing these for 3 years now
I've been buying these wax beads for about three years now, and honestly, they're the only ones I use. I've tried a few different brands in the past, but I always end up coming back to these because they work so well. One thing I really like is how versatile they are. I've used them on my face, legs, armpits, arms, torso, and bikini area, and they've performed great everywhere. They grab the hair well without being overly harsh on the skin. Another big plus is that they don't leave my skin feeling irritated afterward. My skin usually feels smooth and soft once I'm done waxing, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Even on more sensitive areas, I've had a good experience with them. I also think you get a really good amount of product for the price. A bag lasts me quite a while, so I feel like I'm getting great value for my money. Overall, these wax beads have been a staple in my routine for years, and I don't see myself switching anytime soon. If you're looking for reliable wax beads that are effective, gentle on the skin, and reasonably priced, I'd definitely recommend giving these a try.

Please give us the old formula back!!
I’ve been using this wax for close to 5 years now. i’ve come back time and time again because of its effectiveness and easy usage. i got VERY good at waxing my legs, bikini line and underarms with this wax. Unfortunately though, i noticed a change in the formula after my last order (April-ish 2026) the wax beads are sparkly so i could tell immediately there was a difference, there were no sparkles before. I now have to wax the same area 2-3 times and even then, some of the hair is not removing. I’m extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, i will not be buying this product any longer for it is a waste of money. i hope they realize this mistake and revert back to the old formula.

Consistent& Baby Smooth
I enjoy the quality of this wax. I stay bald and smooth for almost 30 days and then I wax again. The consistency of the wax picks up all the hairs. I use this wax on my arm pits, stomach, and Brazilian area. I am honestly pleased that this wax has replaced my monthly visits to European Wax for almost $70/visit. I get to use one bag of this wax at least 3 times.

Didn’t break
Nice melting texture, easy to use and really did a good jobs at getting the hairs. No crazy weird smell and it was easy to pull off underarms no pain.

Good for fine or sparse hair, not for coarse hair.
This isn't BAD wax, just not what I need. It did very well with thinner hairs or areas with sparse hair, example: the tops of my toes and feet where I just have a little bit. My face? I did not care for how that went. I just have a little mustache, not thick/coarse but my eyes watered a lot. I have used other waxes that were more gentle. My legs: I only did the left leg and decided to wait for my other wax to come tomorrow. This is were I have more coarse hair and had a impactful result. It got a good amount of the hair but Ive used other wax that performed better. My legs aren't very sensitive so I didn't notice much pain different that any other wax. But I do try to get as much as I can with the fewest pulls in one spot, this wax required several passes. Other places: based on the results from my upper lip and legs I chose not to use this on my underarms and bikini line. I didn't want to risk it. Two words that come to mind for this wax: thin and stringy. I noticed I had to use quite a bit more wax because it ran pretty thin. Even after messing with the temperature for quite a while and giving time to cool here and there I couldn't quite get the consistency I've gotten with other wax so maybe that's due to my experience level. I am in no way a professional waxer, so there's certainly room for improvement regarding my technique but with that said I would say maybe this is better for more experienced waxers. Beginners, those with coarse hair or lots of hair may want to try a different kind.

Gets the job done!
I was skeptical about purchasing this but I have purchased this 3 times so far. i have used this on myself and on other people. I use this with the gigi warmer and a metal melting pot. Before waxing I wash my face and then use witch hazel on the spots i plan on waxing. once that dries i use gigi pre-epilation powder on those spots as well to dry up any moisture. I always turn my wax warmer on before i do any of that, giving it time to heat up the wax. Here are a few pros and cons Ive noticed. PROS: -you get alot -->i wax my eyebrows, mustache, and sometimes my sideburn/cheek baby hairs probably more than most, at least twice a week. One bags lasts me about 2-3 months when just using it on those areas. -it comes with a few free wooden sticks to use if you're just starting out or don't have any which is a nice bonus. -it doesn't stink -it heats up rather quickly depending on how much you put in your warmer at once, -->I dont fill mine to the top, just about 1/4 of the melting pot full, that way it heats up quickly and i can get it done without having to wait 30 minutes on my wax to melt. -this is safe for your whole body! --> I have used this ALL over.. mustache, eyebrows, legs, bikini area.. the first time i did notice i broke out a little but after using it i dont notice any breakouts. -easy to clean up off your body -->If there are a few spots that dont rip off with the group (lol) i usually just put a little on the inside of my hand and let it cool down a little but so it's still pliable, then i just go over the spots of wax that didnt come off the first time, it comes right up. I also keep baby oil nearby but i don't like using it on my face because it is so heavy and oily but that works too. CONS: - you DO have to go over the same area atleast two times, i do anyway. (i do have super coarse, thick hair.) -its stringy. EVERYTIME i use this it gets stringy all over. --> wax strings from the stick to my face and all over my gigi warmer ( I use baby oil to clean up the strings from the machine.. works great, just annoying and didn't have this problem with other waxes.) Overall this is a good buy. I would recommend and will keep purchasing.

Easy to use, great consistency, pleasant scent, gets all the hair
Love this brand! Will definitely be ordering it again. I have thick, stubborn hair that grows quickly in different directions, no matter what part of my body. Nightmare, right? Nope, not with this wax. It went on beautifully, consistency is perfect, and has a pleasant, not overbearing, scent. I tried it because the original beads that came with my wax warmer (not this brand) were cheap and awful. Didn’t get all the hair no matter what I tried, and the chemical smell grossed everyone in my family out. I decided to start trying other brands of real wax, not polymer, and this one is best so far. I’ve learned that waxing is all about technique. The company’s website has great videos that were very helpful, and made waxing a whole lot easier by following their instructions. I’ve seen some reviews saying this wax is crap and doesn’t work. I have to wonder if they’re taking the time to practice a few times and learn. I find it less painful and easier to apply than some others I’ve tried, after practicing my waxing skills. Gets easier and less painful every time. I wondered which colour beads to get, so I tried this one first, then tried the blue beads for coarse hair, which I will also review. I prefer this one for face, underarms, and bikini/brazilian. It didn’t seem to want to work on my legs as well as the blue beads, though. Also, I had to adjust my technique a bit between the pink and blue beads. This size bag lasted me two full waxes - both full legs, brazilian, underarms, lip & brows - plus 2-3 lip touchups, once I got technique down and wasn’t having to go over the same spots twice. Overall, this is an awesome product.

Best hard wax
One of the best hard wax I have used till date. Best for the beginners and quite easy to use. It’s not at all messy and works like magic, it even pulls out smallest hairs. I used two applications on the same area only when needed e.g. armpits but for arms I just required one application :D I will repurchase this again in future.

Excellent wax, but what temp range?
I've used quite a few waxes, and this is the best one I've found yet. Gets short hairs, goes on easily and comes off cleanly. Easy to work with. Only fault, needs to come with better instructions, ie what temp range to heat to as only says "low heat" and "honey consistency"

Doesn't get all the hair
Had to use ALOT to do a brazilian compared to other wax I have used. It got the roots of what it pulled out but I had to go over the same spots 3 or more times to get the brunt of the hair, then I still had to tweez ALOT as it just didn't get all the hair. On both me and a friend who have different hair types we both experienced the same issues.... will not purchase again.
