Very Simple Replacement of Two Existing Valves
I ordered two units and onlly needed the top solenoid and diapram assembly. It easily fit onto my existing valves from 2016 without having to change the in-ground piping. The screws are stainless steel and the wire was very long. Nicely done!

New Hunter Valve saves the day
June 26, 2023. I have a 15 year old Hunter RSV 1 inch valve that is 16 years old. It stopped working and wasn't allowing water to pass through. After viewing several videos, I decided to repair it myself. First, delivery was expedient. Second, the product worked fine and saved me a lot of money. Thirdly, the solenoid is included! When I got the new Hunter PGV 1 " valve, I got very familiar with it. I took it apart and photographed each step. Once I was familiar with it, I started to repair the old one. I turned off the main sprinkler water valve. I removed the old solenoid. I marked all the wires. Then I removed the top part of the old valve. I removed the old diaphragm assembly. Note: I did not want to remove the entire valve; it meant more work. Here's an important step: Get a thin wire, like a sprinkler marker. Use the wire to carefully clean the hole in the bottom part of the old valve. Install new diaphragm assembly. Install the top of the new valve (called the bonnet). Use the old screws; the new ones are different. Screw in the solenoid. Cut wires to your preference. Twist wires, screw on connectors, and insert connectors into waterproof dioelectric greased tubes. I used the orbit ones. You're finished. There are plenty of youtube videos to help out. I am 78 years old with sciatica, and I completed the job in 102F Texas heat. Surely, you will do it as well.

Tried and tested. Works great 👍🏻
Needed to add another zone in my backyard and picked up this. I have the old hunter valve that was the predecessor of this one. Works just as good and great that you can controll water output from the valve. Straight forward wiring and great price.

Repaired my existing unit with ease
this was perfect. I just unscrewed the top of my old unit pulled out all the broken plastic seals and put the parts from this one in. 4 screws on each. connected the wires and all is blissfully working. Don't waist your time buying the individual components, this is cheaper than they are and took me less than 10min to swap.
