Kids Waterproof Stay On Winter Nylon Mitten

I purchased these for my 2yo for the Midwest winter. So far they’ve been waterproof and he can’t get the off! The Velcro around the wrist helps keep them on as well as the long sleep (it goes past his elbow). They also seem to keep his hands warm. Highly recommend.

Bought these for my toddler. They stay on great and keep her hands dry and warm in the snow.

I went to the snowstopper website and found measurements to take for these mittens, so I knew they would fit my 3-year-old's hands. Indeed, they are a perfect, snug fit, which is what I wanted so she can pick things up without a lot of extra mitten getting in the way. I also ordered the next size up, just to be sure, and they were too big (as they're supposed to be) so I'll save them for next year.We live in a very cold, snowy climate, and my daughter used to be able to stay outside only about 10 minutes because her hands would be freezing. All our other mittens were either too thin or kept coming off or weren't waterproof. The first time we used these mittens, she stayed out for an hour! I finally get to go outside! And they didn't fall off once! They are waterproof, but the material is so soft that she can still use her hands. Most waterproof mittens are stiff and bulky. Plus there's a grippy part on the palm. The 'sock' part that goes up the arm is also soft and cozy.They are maybe slightly harder to put on than other mittens, but not much. Now that my daughter knows how much she loves them, she's extra willing to cooperate too! I just tell her to hold her thumb out so I can nudge it into the thumb hole. Bottom line is these mittens are amazing! The price is a steal! They will change your outdoor experiece completely from a constant cold struggle into warm, carefree fun. I love them. Just as a side note, I found the pink to be less vibrant than it appeared on my monitor, but honestly they could be any color and I'd love them because of now perfectly they work! Still a nice pink color.

Long cuffs

Before putting this on the little one, jab ur own finger into the glove to mold it into place. ESPECIALLY the thumb. It was very mushy and twisted around inside making it very difficult for my 3 year old to get her hand in. She was in tears before I put my own fingers in. We havent used them yet so I cant speak on it regarding how dry and warm they keep her hands so I'll be updating this as soon as she does. Just wanted to give the heads up on the difficulty of little hands finding their way in. Other than that they seem like they're gonna be great at keeping her warm n hopefully dry.

I bought SnowStopper mittens for our entire family last week. We are moving to Moscow, Russia from sunny Florida. I ordered a size medium for my daughter who is 5 years old. They fit great with room to grow. I purchased a large for my soon to be 8 yr old son. Very snug fitting with no room for growth. I placed a new order for an x large...still a bit snug but we will make do. I am excited for my mittens bc I have long fingers...the glove portion of the mittens actually fit! I am excited to give these mittens a test drive!Gave four stars because of sizing....if you are not sure, order a size up!With that being said the real reason for this review is I needed to return the size large I bought for my son. We leave for Moscow in one week! I have so much on my plate and this was just one more thing to add. I hopped onto Amazon to find the return shipping information. Low and behold I was eligible to return the mittens online, get a refund to my card and keep the mittens! I didn't have to leave my house! I was shocked...what a nice surprise during a strenuous time. Thank you Amazon! Now if only some of my other non Amazon returns would be so easy...

Before I got these, my toddler had regular wrist length gloves that he would always pull off. Now he can’t never pull these off so I don’t have to worry that he loses his mittens. I shaved off a star because it’s impossible to get his thumb into the thumb part of the mitten.

They need to just list the inches for sizing but these are the best mittens you are going to find for your child that actually protects them from the elements during the winter. They have a printout to size your child more accurately at their website. Hand outlines you can have them match their hands up to.EDIT: Just printed it off and the sheet is not to scale but they have a ruler on the print out for reference. I will save you all a step. According to their print out and included ruler, the sizes have the following length from wrist to fingertip:XS = 3 7/8 inchesS = 4 3/8 inchesM = 4 7/8 inchesL = 5 3/8 inchesXL = 6 inchesNote = It is quite possible the actual gloves are closer to even measurements (4, 4.5, 5, 5.5) and they make the pictures a little smaller to ensure you leave some room in the mitten. I just measure the small I recently purchased and it was, in fact, 4 inches. So, they are encouraging you to leave some growing room when sizing is all.Also, keep in mind that their mitten sizes and gloves sizes are completely different. These mittens are by far the best I've bought for my kids. They are warm and water proof. The long cuff and velcro wrist band insure that their wrist will not get cold. These mitts do not fall off. They fit best if they're put on before the coat, though that makes it difficult for a child to zip up their jacket. Never buy this version of mitten with the zipper up the cuff, they're not practical.

Best mittens for keeping snow out of jackets, and fits my daughter who has quite small hands. Wish I had these as a kid!

I bought 2 sets of these in 2 different sizes. They are wonderful and my son loves them

Ordered two pairs, one each for my 6 and 10 year old girls. Ordered the XLG size for my 10 year old and they are too small. Fingers crunched in the end and very tight around her arm. Ordered the LG for 6 year old and they do fit with a little room in the mitten to grow. The long elastic goes almost to her elbow which is great, however they do fit quite snug around her arm so I hope they will not be too tight to wear comfortably. My girls are average size for their age so I would highly recommend ordering larger size than you would expect to need. Quite disappointed because I thought I had finally found the perfect mitten for playing in the snow. At least my youngest will grow into the larger size so not a complete waste of money.

I ordered these gloves after getting a recommendation from another parent and was excited to buy a strong, sturdy pair of gloves that can be passed down to the next little one. Unfortunately, these gloves started ripping in a number of places and before I knew it, were not even usable. My little guy is not even two yet and can't do very much with his hands in the winter time, so it was not like he was abusing them either. Very unfortunate and felt like I wasted my money.
