Golem's Eye (The Bartimaeus Sequence)

The book is so good that you would love every page. I buy Bartimaeus for my son but we compete to read and finish it. All books of this series are very goodreads.

By this second book, it's difficult to not get drawn to the characters--with sharp wit and a relentless pace, it's a definitive modern-day classic of fantasy fiction

I have read the first of three (and one more) long back in college,i hope to complete this series - probably a more important appendix to LOTR! :P

Superb storyline and full of magic, adventure, fights and smart-ass comments (by Bartimaeus of course)

This series should be adapted for a TV Show.

Have read this and gifted to multiple people. Its super awesome to introduce people/kids to slightly deeper fantasy Genre. Bartimaeus is like the Deadpool of Fantasy section. Shipped and delivered in time.

Highly recommend! This author is so incredibly talented. To create an alternate universe and introduce it in such a subtle way that similarities blend seamlessly with what we know and accept of our reality and time, is so impressive and fun to read - especially without a witless protagonist who is learning the rules of the world with you as you read, making the need for explanation make sense. Most stuff isn’t explained and the author lets the readers experience fill the holes, but the back story in need of explaining comes from the demon who breaks the 4th wall - he is aware of the reader, but the rest of the characters are not. The authors ability to switch the readers allegiance from Kitty to Nathaniel to Bartimaeus depending on whose perspective you’re reading from is amazing. The tension is constant. There is very little fluff, the story pushes forward aggressively. May need to read something a little less anxiety provoking before starting the last book. Also dreading the series ending.

Awesome sequel, even funnier than the first book and worth a read. Will be purchasing the third in the trilogy for sure.

The Bartimaeus sequence is one of those rare series that only get better with your own age. Strout managed to invent an alternate unsiverse that is as engrossing for adults as it is for adolesents.
