Worth the buy
Very good product. Always on my tool belt.I love the storage compartment for extra pads. Although I havent even managed to wear out my first one. The granat paper that is supplied is very good. I would have preferred some sort of rubber grip for comfort but it pretty comfortable.

Love it
I've never used one of these but it was great. So easy to use and better than sanding with just paper and very little dust. Easy to change the sandpaper too.

Exzellenz
Das ist nicht unbedingt notwendig, man kann es auch selbst herstellen... aber mit Festool zu arbeiten ist trotzdem Klasse.

Lovely Festool....
As everything from Festool, this works as expected. Very easy to hold and paper just stays like you would glue it

Ingenious... Just the right size... although feels slightly underdesigned
I got exposed to Festool about 3 years ago, and followed the standard path which the dealers describe as "one has to convince the customer only to buy his first Festool tool. After that, on the second year, an average customer buys five more Festool tools". This little tool is interesting. For one thing, it is not as outrageously high priced as many other small things (especially accessories) which Festool makes. In fact, its price is quite reasonable for a hand-held sander. It is ingenious in the sense that it fills the niche left behind by half-sheet manual sanders. It is nice a small, works great for sanding small parts, and its narrow end can fit into tiny crevices. The fact the sanding paper is attached with velcro makes it very stable and makes swapping the paper very quick and easy. The paper stays where you put it, does not slide off, and does not get loose. The side of the bottom of the sander is about 15 cm by 7.8 cm. The abrasives are longer, 46x178 mm, because the straps of paper wrap around that narrow part on the front. The narrow part is a great idea for sanding into narrow passages, e.g., mortises. Sanding paper is available in several grits as well as a mix and is priced reasonably ($6 for a package of 10 strips). Festool's sanding paper is known to be robust and strong, it does not wear out easily. The reason why I think it is under designed is that it is made of slippery plastic, with nothing on its sides to make it sit firmly in the hand. I am tempted to attach something like good quality velcro or even just pieces of duct tape to make it less slippery. I cannot understand why Festool engineers, after they came up with this block, stopped short of making it user friendly. However, even with this note, I still think that functionality-wise it is the best sanding block that I ever had. It is one of those things that is good to have in your apron pocket.I was tempted to rate it 4 stars because of the slippiness, but then it is such a cute little sanding block, and so functional... So I ended up rating it 5 stars. On April 1, 2015, Festool will increase its price from $16 to $17; pricing for abrasives for this block will not change.UPDATE AUGUST 2015: After I used this block for a while, I like it more and more. It is just the right size for hand sanding, and works great when you have to get into tight corners. I have other sanding blocks, and I found myself no longer using them.

Modest yet mighty tool.
Construction QualityFrom the get-go, the sanding block exudes the build quality you would expect from Festool. It's solid, sure to withstand the test of time and the rigours of constant use. This isn't a tool you'll need to replace any time soon, making it a fantastic investment for any serious craftsman.Ease of UseThe user-friendly design of the sanding block is one of its standout features. There's no need for the unnecessary hassle of clamps or messy adhesives that I've battled with on lesser models. The StickFix system is revolutionary; applying and changing the sandpaper is a breeze. Just align the sandpaper backing with the block, press down, and voila! It grips securely, ready for action.
