2 Short Tows and liking them thus far . . still a bit questionable in my own mind.
I was tired of crawling under my old classic trucks . . but am way more tired of checking the load binders every few miles (it seems) . . . although they seem too work . .I don't like how they never get really "tight" . . and I don't want to put a ton of pressure pulling my wheels "outwards" as the instructions say to use them. Vulcan videos show to use them at 10 / 2 positions and pull DOWNWARDS . . I see many putting them through their wheels. Most of my wheels are either forged or customer powder coated so I don't want to put the straps through the wheels. Hopefully I am just overthinking . . and will update when I use them on longer road trip. Quality seems good, would be great to offer option of different style "hooks" for the ratchet part. Overall I am happy thus far.

The Very Best for Classic Cars!
After years of struggling with trying to tie down our various cars, I can't believe how magical these tie-down are! We have a 14' open aluminum Trailex trailer with attachments points front and rear. We have quite a number of classic Porsches, ranging from 1954 to 2011, and each one required hours of figuring out the best arrangement of attachment (lying underneath attaching to greasy axles, and so on) with our brand name 3" tie downs.... because most of the cars would not accept the metal ring through the wheel openings.I looked into all kinds of alternatives, basket style, etc etc, but the restrictions of our trailer tie points and especially rubbing on the very low body styles of our cars made everything frustrating to impossible. I recently trailered our 1965 Porsche 356 coupe alone, and was able to attach the Vulcan tie downs in literally minutes... it was remarkable. I unpacked the box, watched a youtube instructional video, and hey presto - I fed the free end of the 2" tie down through the wheel, slipped it through the ring, cinched it up, fed it through the ratchet and a couple of pulls and voila! SO simple even a old granny like me could do all 4 wheels in 20 minutes! Best yet, this system will work on every car we own (or wish we owned) with the exception of one that has honeycomb type show wheels.I stopped a few times on a 9 hour trip to check and cinch, and all was perfection. The unloading process was just as easy. I am in love. Safe, strong, good looking, great quality, compact, simple, SO easy to use... who could want more? I can't believe my husband and I have been arguing, struggling and sweating our you know what's off every time we had to load a different car.... for over 10 years! Buy these now. They are worth every penny (and a killer value), AND you might just stay married too!

Great straps. Durability remains to be seen
I've already used these twice on my track car, but already see slight traces of fraying. We'll see how they hold up after a year.

Keeps your vehicle planted!
First off, I was skeptical when I bought these straps last week, hadn’t had a wheel strap ever before.Well yesterday, Unfortunately my wife and kids and I had a truck pull out in front of us, while I was traveling 65mph with a 20’ car hauler and a 2000 Jeep Tj strapped down with Vulcan Wheel straps, I locked up the brakes but it was to late, we hit, and hit hard. The jeep didn’t move an inch. I unloaded the jeep there on the highway, with fire and rescue blocking traffic and got my girls and wife off the X and we were able to look back And be thankful, 1, that no one was injured from the frontal impact, and 2, that jeep Tj stayed where it was supposed to and didn’t come flying through the rear hatch of the suburban.I will Run these straps from here on out when hauling my jeeps or any other vehicles for that matter, they proved their worth to me yesterday.Added some pictures for reference to the way I strapped the jeep down and of the suburban after impact.Hope this helps someone on the fence, take care and God Bless

They work great. A very good product.
First the bad news. 1. The price has increased from the $69.99 I paid when I bought my set about 5 years ago. 2. More recent purchasers report they no longer come with an orange nylon storage bag, which has proved invaluable in helping me find them when it’s time to tie something down.I only use these straps about 3-4 times a year, to trailer a Prius or Crosstrek or to tie down tractor implements. (The tractor itself requires heavy chains.). Each time I think, I really should write a review, since they work great and do the job just fine. It’s not as if use them all the time, but they’ve held up fine so far. They were and are just what I needed. Are they better than any other straps? I don’t know, because they’re the only ones I’ve ever used.Would I buy them again? If they were the old price and included the orange storage bag: absolutely. At the current price ($109.99 today) and without the bag: probably.

Solid Straps for my off-road truck with 37s
Pros:Versatility - strap around the tire or axle, my truck has a truss on the front axle which makes it hard to strap directly to the axle.Large tires - my off-road truck has 37x12.5 hummer tires, these straps worked well although only had 6' or so left to reach the D ring.Dirt roads - this trailer rarely has working lights from running on rough dirt roads so often. Tighten these straps like you actually care about the vehicle you're towing and they won't come loose on bumpy roads.Cons:Sketchy - strapping around the tires seems a little sketchy since the strap could theoretically slip over the top, use your muscles and make the strap tight. Use your best judgement on whether or not it will hold. My offroad truck runs low tire pressure, the tires deflect from the strap which helps hold the strap in place.Difficult to operate - haven't found any rachets better than these, but like other rachets these can bind up and be difficult to loosen. If you can't handle a rachet strap, you probably shouldn't be towing a vehicle.Short straps - they work but could be longer, for large tires make sure your tie down points are close to the tire. I would not be able to cross strap or run these straps to the back of my trailer with my tires.
