4g LTE+ Advanced OpenWRT Cat6 Unlocked Sim Router Modem with Carrier Aggregation Preconfigured for use on The AT&T Network & Compatible with T-Mobile

I have a vacation home with no wired internet options. There's a strong signal from a nearby AT&T tower, so I use this router as a wifi-to-4G bridge, and it's perfect. I bought an AT&T SIM card and signed up for an unlimited 4G service. It worked immediately out of the box with hardly any setup required. It's been running for a few weeks now and the performance is excellent.If you're interested in the technical details: there are two parts to this, the router and the modem. The router is a ZBT WE-826 with 128MB of RAM and 16MB of flash. It's running firmware from The ROOter Project, an open-source extension of OpenWRT that adds 4G modem support. It uses the OpenWRT package system and has enough flash to install several packages. There's also a USB port and an SD card slot if you need to add more storage. If you like to tinker, OpenWRT is a lot of fun.The modem is a Sierra MC7455, a popular and well-supported brand of 4G modem. If I have one complaint, it's that the modem ships with a pretty old firmware version, and it's a real pain to update. I have a minor issue with the modem not reconnecting after a reboot (it requires a hard powercycle) and I'm hoping a firmware update will fix it. The ROOter Project has an active support forum and they're very helpful.As another reviewer noted, you can buy the router and the modem separately and save a bit of money (actually the modem is far more expensive than the router). But then you need to assemble the parts and install / configure the firmware. It probably saved me a couple of hours to get this one pre-assembled so I have no regrets.Overall I'm very happy with this purchase!

I really wanted this to work for me. Constantly dropping signal (wifi). Sending back withn the 30 days No longer offered on Amazon. Now I know why
