Wheel Lock

We are a school with student parking, and restricted Faculty Parking areas. This is a much easier parking boot to use. It is more Heavy duty than the cheep Chinese ones.

I did all the video watching and review reading to settle on this item. Very solid and easy to operate.I won't know how well it performs until someone tries to remove it.

My 2000 Ford F250 has been vandalized for theft 3 times in a gated community of all things. The slim bags break the door & ignition locks but can't get it started because of the security starter interruption system. Now they will see the bright yellow, heavy duty tire grip lock and move on ! ( too much time and noise to mess with it). It's easy to put on and take off, fits the tire & rim just fine.

I read about people stealing trailers locally by just hooking up to the safety chains, making hitch pin locks less than effective. We wanted something more secure, especially in storage. This is pretty easy to put on, but would be tough to hack off and you aren't driving the trailer anywhere while it's attached. Not cheap, but neither are trailers.

Love this. It is made sturdy and am not afraid of getting my UTV trailer stolen when I have these attached. I bought two and asked them to key them the same and they did.

I ordered this wheel lock that was a little more expensive. It looks great, but is very hard to get into the lock position. I have another brand and you lock it and slide it together. This one doesn't work like that. I wouldn't buy this one ever again.

A lot of these types of wheel locking devices are said not to clear brake drums. My car hauler has brakes on both axles. This lock is shaped just right to reach up between the drum and the wheel, and locks on snugly. Of course, I have no idea how good it is at theft prevention, until it is put to the test. I hope I don't ever find out. Maybe it will be enough of a visual deterrent that no one will try removing it. The locking mechanism is conventional, but buried deep inside the unit, so it should be very difficult to disable.If someone tries to remove it, and fails. I will definitely come back and give it 5 stars! That is NOT an invitation to try.

Worth the $$, easy to install, big enough for my 35" tires, & small enough to carry under the back seat. Recommend this to anyone.
