Great video doorbell
Great video door bell, covers a great wide view, really clear. The app is easy to use and set up is easy. Took a risk buying this but Iโm so pleased I got one for an elderly friend who is also very impressed. You can choose what it captures, human, pet or all movements. Easy to delete videos that are not needed. You will need a micro sim for it. Best bit is no annual fee. Only had it about 2 weeks so donโt know how long the charge will last but itโs still above 60% so far so good. I also bought a cctv camera for the back of the house and 2 for inside and again havenโt got a bad word to say. Iโd highly recommend this door cam

Good value as no subscription needed
I bought this as my ring doorbell was coming up to renewal and I didnโt want to pay for the subscription for another year. The eufy ring door bell works well, I prefer the notifications to the ones on the ring door bell. Connects quickly to my phone and the video quality is good. I have bought a SIM card as recommended but havent managed to work out how to save videos yet. Overall happy with my purchase. The cost of the doorbell was the same as the years subscription for the ring doorbel so was a good swap

Works well enough but most won't get 6 months between charges
I bought this as a doorbell that provided some surveillance features rather than a security camera. That distinction is important as it was more about being able to communicate with delivery drivers when out rather than provide security footage of my property. With the above in mind this performs reasonably well, the fact that the footage is stored in the chime rather than requiring a subscription is perfect for my needs with me just putting a 128gb SD card in the chime that resides inside the house. There is a reasonable selection of rings to choose from which are reasonably loud. It also integrates with Amazon Alexa allowing me to use an echo dot to announce when the bell is pressed as well. The footage is clear and the sound clear enough. Installation of the bell on a PVC door was straight forward using self-taping screws to secure the bracket to the door frame. The Android app works well allowing you to view live footage of stored footage on the chime and configure the doorbell and chime. There is a slight lag when using the live feed and two way comms which is people move away quickly may be an issue. I have not yet been able to get the doorbell camera view to appear on a recent model LG OLED TV with built in Alexa and Google Assistant The only real issue is that the human motion detection AI is very spotty often missing people as they directly approach the door whilst detecting people that cross the top of the path. After a month of observation I've noticed that it is worse at detecting darker complexions frequently missing me and other black people as they approach the door even when standing directly in front of the camera at all times off the day. This is in comparison with paler visitors, delivery people and neighbours who it will generally detect as they get close even if missing them initially. This is worse at night even though a security lamp illuminates the front any time someone approaches the house at night. I have been tweaking the settings and messing with activity zones to try and improve this with limited success so far. Currently I'm on course for approximately 90 days from a full charge and I'm not on a main road and there is limited foot fall in view on the camera on any given day.

Good alternative to a subscription service!
The doorbell was easy to fit onto my doorframe, I used the offset tool also. I decided to charge the unit before fitting as recommended then followed the easy instructions to install the app on my phone to set up the doorbell up on my WiFi system. Once I had installed the doorbell, I installed the chime. The sync button was a little hard to see but I got there...probably because I thought it was the wrong button! Everything works as it should on Wifi but if you are using "cellular" data then there is a known "P2P" error that sometimes can impact usage. I got some feedback from Anker which may or may not help. Overall I am very happy with the doorbell/chime combo and would recommend them.

One of the worst customer service teams and set of policies that I have ever come across
I ordered this doorbell in February 2024. The charge didn't last very long, even with reduced video quality and range settings. Despite the fact that the doorbell was only activated approximately 4 times per day, the charge only lasted about 10 days at a time. As this was my first video doorbell I didn't realise this wasn't normal but it was quite annoying, continually having to take it down to recharge. Then about 9 months later, I realised that i couldn't hear my doorbell upstairs very well, so I contacted Eufy (this is their own amazon shop) and asked for advice on whether there was a chime extender that was compatible. They replied recommending a chime extender that I then bought. However when I tried to link this chime extender to the doorbell it wouldn't work. So I again contacted their customer service to ask for help. Several days of too-ing and fro-ing later they admitted that an AI bot had actually answered me (not a human) and had made a mistake and there wasn't a chime compatible with this doorbell. So I had spent time and money buying a useless chime. I talked via e-mail (very slow each time) to their customer-service team and when I mentioned that my charge only lasts about 10 days we all concluded that perhaps my doorbell is faulty. They advised I turned down some settings and check - which I did - so about 4 -6 weeks later after they first insisted in my trying things that they suggested and waiting to see if the charge lasted longer (it didn't). But yes - faulty. So now I had a faulty doorbell product which I had had for (by this time) nearly 11 months, and a chime that I couldn't use. So I suggested that they let me send back both (I had original packaging for both too all in good condition) and they replace it for a different model so that I can have a chime extender - offering to pay the difference. This was surely the best solution for everybody. But they wouldn't even entertain this possibility even though they'd sold me a faulty product and an incompatible doorbell chime. Eventually they agreed to replace my faulty doorbell. They then sent another doorbell which didn't work at all - it wouldn't pair. This whole replacement process took several weeks because they are so so slow at responding properly, each time only half answering. They also do that infuriating thing of apologising for 'your frustration' when actually they should be apologising for their faulty product and for your wasted time and money and for their poor advice!!! Every time you contact the customer service team even if you reply to them literally 1 minute later, there is always at least 24 hours until their next response, sometimes much longer. This is just not good enough. They also obviously use a lot of AI - not entirely sure if anybody I 'spoke' to on the e-mail was human to be honest as there was so much cut-and-paste style bland hollow repetition. This means that even a simple matter takes about a week to advance because they don't answer all of the questions. This is extremely annoying and quite disrespectful of their customer's time and makes you feel very invaluable and not believed by them. They have now (finally) sent me a working version of this produt which seems OK and the charge lasts much longer - great. they gave me a refund for my chime too. But I still am not happy as I would have rather had all this time saved and they sent me a doorbell with a chime extender and charged me the extra. Their customer service is ridiculously bad. If you buy a product form this company and it is faulty, I'd suggest complaining to Amazon rather than their pathetic customer service team as you are more likely to get your money back quickly and efficiently that way so that you can start again. This doorbell is OK if you have a small-ish house. If you have a larger house or if you don't get a working one first time - good luck. In that case I'd buy one of their wired doorbells with a homebase and a chime extender.

Much better my Ring doorbell
Bought to replace a Ring doorbell, it is physically bigger, other than that the Eufy is better in every way. Good App, so easy to setup and very quick response. Camera has good angle of view and high quality video. Can't fault it

Ok but not not great - could be so much better. Great customer service though.
The device is ok at best but not great. Initially I thought it was good though. It was fairly easy to install and setup and all seemed pretty good. Image was poor and annoying but I could get over that if it did it's job... which I have discovered it doesn't. I have noticed that the alerts do not always work as they are supposed to and the app is very slow to log into when motion is detected. As such you can easily miss a person who is there but it does usually save them (mostly, although not always) so you can check back (however the motion sensing isn't always accurate and sometimes just misses people completely). The sensor range setting is also inaccurate and doesn't work well, so a lot of false positives too, which is annoying. The doorbell camera is intermittent and doesn't always work very well. As such it's a real disappointment and doesn't give me the peace of mind that I expected it would, as I cannot trust that it will actually work properly and detect someone if they come into view. If the doorbell is rang it seems to work well enough but the motion detection is very poor. The image quality is really bad also, nowhere near the 1080p it is described as - it looks very pixelated and very poor quality - like a nokia mobile phone from the 1990's - it's rubbish image quality. It will let you see if someone is there and if you know them, you'll probably recognise them but the video quality is so crap and again a major disappointment. Eufy came close to making something very good but unfortunately seemed to have failed. I would return it for a refund but it's probably too late now and at the same time I want to have something for security and the doorbell ring works reasonably well, plus it was cheaper than some of the other makes but I guess you get what you pay for. All-in all though I regret buying it and would not advise anyone else to purchases it, as so far I've had more trouble with it than it's worth. Go spend a bit more and get something better. Avoid this tat. It's pretty rubbish and given that the price is fairly expensive, it's a total waste of money. ---------------------------------------------------- ***UPDATE*** Ok so Eufy got in touch with me to see how things were going and after explaining my experience they said they'd send me a replacement with the Eufy Video Doorbell 2k (battery powered), to see if it was any better. In fairness to them the customer experience with them was excellent once they communicated with me and this really showed me that Eufy must be a company who cares about and values it's customers, which I have to commend them for. I would never have bought another Eufy product again had their customer service not been so good and after this experience, I would now give their other products a try in future. In this day and age good customer service is hard to find and I have to admit that Eufy really did try to help me and show that they care and in this respect they excelled and did a good job. I haven't got round to fully testing the 2k doorbell version just yet but my initial thoughts are that the video is better, although the alerts may actually be slower but I will need to do more playing around with it and testing to confirm before drawing any firm conclusions on this. As such however I have decided to increase my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars in the meantime.

Great product for a great price
This is a great product. Its nice that it doesn't have a enforced subscription model! Very good for the money! The device comes with a memory card slot which is secure behind the mount. The video quality is very good and also easy to download through the Eufy app. The mount is robust and fits nicely on the door frame with a wide angle lense with an option tilt bracket for corners. I did have a slight trouble connecting it to my 5ghz WiFi at first. This was fixed by disabling 5Ghz and using 2.4Ghz whilst on setup. Also make sure to disable smart channels as it can conflict with setup.

Poor information before purchasing.
Beware you can only use this product if you have 2.4g Internet will not work on 5g which i learned only on set up. Did not see any reference to this on any advertisement so will have to return the product. Poor information.

Battery on product never worked
I bought the device and it has never worked. I was able to set up the device on the phone and connect it to the ringing device, however, it cannot be charged and will not ring. It took me a long time to set it up as it was for my mother and I was incapable of doing this. I note that we should have returned this before with the issue but it was too late by the time I set it up.

Very good
Easy to install, after it tried other cheaper brands, but didn't like any of them like this one, i set it here in UAE, Then took it to Turkiya, then just needed to change the Wi-Fi settings, and it is working perfectly.
