Behrens Replacement Lid for 10-Gallon Locking Lid Can

I bought one can, and I’m on my third lid. I’m still rating it a 4 out of 5 because I don’t think I can expect a lid to last longer than 6 months considering it is kept outside in full sun, rain, temps over 100 in the summer and below freezing in the winter. I’m glad there’s an option to replace the lid so I don’t have to buy a new can all the time.

This is perfect! I already have the 10 gallon can but the lid overtime in the elements fail at the handle which allows water to get into the can. Can't buy just the lid only in the stores. I didn't need to spend more money for the can. So being able to buy separately on Amazon was perfect. As far as the lid itself, it would be nice if the area where the handle meets the lid top was attached in a way that won't deteriorate over time out in the weather would be nice.

Up until now, I've been buying both the can and the lid because the lids will rust and the handle falls off after a few years outside. I was thrilled to find that I can buy just the lids so that I do not have to replace the can as well because the can remains in good condition. After many years of replacing both can and lid, I intend to use my old cans as planters.

What can I say, it is a trash can lid and it fits.

This galvanize is of great quality, I gave it a 3 start because the don’t fit properly (if you force it down then it becomes difficult to open) and I will have to think of other resources to make my project work! I need the lid fitting over the bucket not skewed on the top and can’t close.

I actually turned these into shields for a kids theater production of Robin Hood. They worked great!
