Best primer I have tried and I’ve tried many. This elf primer is somewhat like the smash box photo finish, but I feel that the elf works better. The elf primer is so much less also. It is the same consistency. It covers pores and evens out my skin for a flawless makeup application after I spray my face with the elf setting spray, I am good to go!! I recommend this highly and you cannot beat the price compared to the other high-end primers that don’t even work as well as the elf primer. Buy it you will not be sorry.

I LOVE E.L.F PRIMER, YOU WILL TOO - I have oily/dry combo skin and large pores, this primer literally makes my skin silky smooth. A little goes a long way with this product, you only really need a pea-sized amount to cover your entire face which is another reason to love because this product will last quite a bit of time. And for the price, that is a total still!It helps keep my foundation, and concealer looking fresh. I sometimes even wear it by itself!LETS TALK PACKAGING - The packaging could be deceiving to someone who doesn't buy makeup often or know makeup brands well. So I wanted to tell those interested in purchasing this product, do not be afraid to buy because of the packaging. This style of packaging is common among makeup brands! I have attached images and you can see the bottle on the outside is usually always bigger than the container that holds the actual product on the inside. This is true even for Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation and Fenty Beauty Primer.E.L.F isn't deceiving anyone with their packaging! Unfortunately, people base how much product they are getting on the size of the entire bottle instead of looking at the print of what is being advertised for what they are paying for. In this case, it is .47 ounce of product. In the image Born This Way and Fit Me are both 1 fl oz. you wouldn't be able to tell they hold the exact same amount of product based on the shape of the bottles and size, you have to read the product description.In this E.L.F product description, it tells you the product is .47 ounce and the packaging is 1.6 x 1.6 x 5.5 inches ; 2.4 ounces.In my opinion, you get exactly what you pay for honest packaging, amazing quality, and affordable pricing! :) I would definitely recommend E.L.F Primer to others.

The Elf Face Primer works well on my combination skin. It tones and smooths away any flaws and tones down the shine on my T Zone. I’ll always use the Elf Primer. I comes also in one for pores. Great product, highly recommended by me. 😁

So I've been wearing makeup for years, but only recently decided to Do Something about the sometimes-often 'melting makeup' look happening on my face when it hits mid-afternoon. I have combo skin in that my T-zone gets SUPER oily and my chin and cheeks do not. My skin is also stubborn in that the pores on my nose are quite large, so you can imagine how makeup might settle on my nose with a double whammy of giant pores + oil. (If you can't imagine, the oil would basically melt the makeup off, but makeup that settled into my pores would proudly stay. So I had weird dots on my nose. YIKES.) I decided I needed to change my routine, which includes adding more products like this.I normally only used a bit of primer (Benefit's Pore Professional) around my nose, but decided I would try out the full face primer to see if it helped. I still use the Pore Professional on top (seriously, my nose is SO oily, it needs all the help it can get), but I think this primer really helps keep it all together, especially on the rest of my face. The only drawback is that the bottle is quite small, as someone else mentioned. The bottle is a bit of marketing trickery, as the frosty container is just the outer shell and there is a smaller container within. Ah, well - I find that with this I only need less than a full pump (maybe 1/2 - 3/4?) to cover my entire face.I recommend lightly patting in your primer, especially around your pores. It's better to pat/tap in your moisturizer/primer vs. rubbing it in, but this is especially key for primer. Patting will settle the primer into your pores more efficiently, allowing a more even surface. You'll feel your skin get more silky, so once you think you covered everything just do a pass with your fingertips - lightly - to feel for any spots that don't seem covered.For anyone who has also suffered from "melting face", "cakey layers", and "pore pockets" here are some tips:- Allow more 'setting' time between moisturizer, sunscreen, and primer before applying actual makeup. It's like applying nail polish, you need to give it some time to dry before you start the next layer, or else you get something that gets tacky and gunky.- Stipple foundation, instead of brushing/stroking it on. Less of a chance of your brush/sponge/fingers rubbing away your carefully laid groundwork.- When all your makeup is done (foundation, colored powder, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, etc etc. whatever your routine is), use the setting powder. I currently use NYX Cosmetics Studio Finishing Powder, Translucent Finish, 0.21 Ounce, which I LOVE. (Left a similar review there.)lightly mist your face. I currently use NYX Cosmetics Make Up Setting Spray, Matte Finish/Long Lasting, 2.03 Ounce, which the reviews mentioned is comparable to Urban Decay's All Nighter (which is TRIPLE the cost)I know it's a lot of steps, and you could probably cut out a decent amount in the middle, but considering my stubborn oily skin, this is the best for me so far. I am in my late 30's and needed a primer due to skin changes. This had good reviews and a great price so I ordered it.I have no problems with acne since a teen. After the first use the next day I had severe break out all over my face. It was more then just a few pimples. The areas of the skin that were even slightly inflamed or pimples that were popped (yeah, I know gross but true life isn't always pretty) became swaths of red raised inflamed areas. My face looks horrible and the outbreaks kept coming even on the 3rd day. No amount of face washing, scrubbing, or acne lotion has helped But I think it is finally starting to calm down today after putting ACV on my face. This product was Awful for me.It also did not give me the coverage I needed for larger pores. It does go on incredibly smooth and silky. Feels sheer and light, pretty nice feeling on the skin. But Perhaps too light for those needing a heavier primer for aging and fine lines.I have never broken out from Makeup before in all the years I have been applying it.I do NOT recommend this to anyone.

I have never really been into primers. I am not a big fan of makeup, but recently due to break outs I got some hyper pigmentation on my skin ( I have a milk chocolate complexion) so my skin is prone to dark marks but beyond that it is fairly clear and healthy. I take care of my skin which is very sensitive and dry. So with the recent break out spots I started to wear concealer and a little more foundation. I had an issue with the makeup wearing off and even having difficulty coming off to the point I had to wash my face many times. My friend suggested a primer but the ones I tried were to heavy and irated me due to my sensitive skin, I wanted to start buying high end ones but the price turned me off so I finally settled to try elf mineral primer.When I applied it ( small amount) I was surprised how light weight it was. I expected something heavy and for my skin to start itching but nothing. I was able to apply the makeup effortlessly on top of my skin and it glided easily over my large pores. It lasted all day and when I washed it off the makeup came off much more smoothly then before. I tried it again almost every day and I did not break out once, it did not irate my dry skin, and because of it my skin is looking a lot healthier and I am actually seeing my hyper pigmentation fade slightly due to the make up no longer slipping into my pores. I can't believe how this product worked wonders for my dry sensitive skin. I recommend it. But I advise that a little goes a long way especially for my ladies who have oiler skin. My sister who has oiler skin used it and it works great for her and left some shine but this went away when she started using less when she applied it. For those with dry skin like me this is not an issue but I still recommend a little per application because of the small bottle. It leaves a nice dewing finish and I love it!

I ordered this product in the color clear in mid-September of 2013 for the upcoming school year. It's the first of December and I just finished my first bottle of the Mineral Infused Face Primer after using it daily for the past months. I'm a high school student who wears makeup to school daily and this product is perfect for keeping your foundation and face makeup on for hours. My foundation routine originally did not include face primers, but over time, I noticed that my face makeup would start to rub off after about three hours. It really bugged me because I'm not the kind of girl who likes to carry around my foundation, powder, and blush to school just so I can re-apply them in the bathroom. I decided to order this primer, and boy am I glad I did. I noticed a HUGE improvement in the amount of time that my makeup would last. I did not have to carry around foundation, powder, concealer, etc. because my makeup would last all day!Make sure that when you apply the primer you have a completely washed face. After that, just take the primer and press the knob down once. It dispenses the perfect amount of primer for your whole face. This is definitely something you don't need to apply generously because it spreads itself out (A little goes a long way). I wanted to order the clear primer because this was intended to be applied before foundation, and I didn't do anything but prime my face perfectly. It looks like very liquidy goo, but once it touches your skin and you blend it out, it feels mineral-like. I know it sounds strange, but it almost made my face feel like a canvas, ready to soak up the makeup!If you're anything like me and you want your foundation and powder to stay on your face for over 5 hours, then this is the perfect product for you! I'm so glad I ordered this product, and I'm positive I will order it again!

Not a tinted one.6- glides smoothly on skin7- skin on face feels silky and bright illuminating after each application.8- leave for 2 mins and then start applying make up.9- the impact of this primer is certainly visible.
