C8 ELRS V3 8CH 2.4GHz RC Radio Transmitter for FPV Drones/Tiny Whoop/Fixed Wing,FPV Drone Simulator Controller for Beginner,Mode 2

I purchased this to practice flying on Liftoff simulator. Easily connects to my pc, much less fuss than trying to connect my T-Lite radio. Simply plug and play using the usbc connection. The body has a solid rubbery feel which isn’t slippery in the hand. I am a fan of the smaller gaming style controllers as I never liked the huge and heavy box radios. The gimbal movements are precise and very reactive to small movements. This will be my 1st radio with built in ELRS so I will report back after connecting this to my fleet of drones. I would buy again as this was a great bargain IMO.

Very good controller, the absolutely only thing I can say bad about it is that it doesn't have a lanyard clip. Other then that great radio

Update!!! Changed to 1 star, left stick no longer registers vertical throttle movement. To start, I want to get this out of the way first.. it feels light weight and plasticy, it is soft touch plastic that has a chalky feel I don't really like, and the parts of the grip that look rubberized are not, they are the same plastic as the rest of it. It doesn't scream high quality but it also doesn't feel super cheap either That said the controls themselves feel and work great! The joysticks are responsive and smooth, the lower two switches are two position and the upper two switches are both 3 position and they all click smoothly and feel great as well! It pairs easily and quickly to my heli elrs receiver running 3.2 software. To pair you hold up the right stick and do two cycles of the left lower switch. The battery was close to dead out of the box but it charged up fully in about an hour and it has lasted 3 15 minute flights with a heli so far. I also tried it on my iphone with a free flight sim game and it registered right away I did have to use a phone to usb adapter but once I figured that out it was easy to setup! Overall for the cost keeping budget in mind it's a very capable transmitter that has some good quality parts in a budget shell, it has worked well for close to home flight tests and im excited to keep using it for more long range testing, I might try to vinyl wrap it just to get rid of the soft touch plastic feel though haha!

I'm a drone pilot and wanted to have a little fun when the weather does not co-operate to go flying. I really love the quality of this controller and how responsive it is when I'm playing drone games. If you are a drone pilot and want a little fun on days when the weather is not co-operative grab one of these.

I really like the low budget cost of entry into learning how to fly a drone. It's easy to plug in and get cranked up in Lift Off and start learning. I still am horrible at flying still, but hopefully I'll get better before I start spending real money and break parts. The only reason for the 4 stars, instead of 5, is because for about a week, I thought my UPS had a bad battery. After looking at the UPS finally to silence the alert, I found there was no alert. Then I started to notice that the 3 beeps I was hearing was happening every 20 mins on the nose. So every 20 mins I would wait for the beeps and try to echo locate the device causing it. I kept being drawn to my pc, and it sounded like it was coming from y pc. So I looked it up and found 3 beeps from the mobo could be bad ram. So, I did a memory test. It came back fine. Bios didn't show any alerts either. So the hunt continues. The next thing I thought was my PSU in my pc. But it doesn't beep. So, the hunt continues. It was only after days of pulling my hair out and going mad that I noticed this controller sitting near my pc and picked it up at the 20 min mark. I could have had a stroke to find out all this time a controller was causing the beeps. So, I'm guessing that when the battery is fully charged, it's supposed be alerting you that the battery is full. If you want to use this for playing on your pc, then make sure you unplug it from the USB when you're done so it doesn't spam 3 beeps every 20 mins forever when the battery is charged fully.

This is my first transmitter purchase, and while it does feel a bit toy-like, that seems common these days. For under $100, I’d rather the cost go toward the electronics than the outer feel. I haven’t been able to get it to pair via Bluetooth, even after trying on two PCs and a phone. It goes through the motions and appears to enter pairing mode, but it never shows up on the device side. I wanted to check if it might be a firmware issue, but support has been hard to reach so far. On the positive side, the STARDRONE C8 ELRS Transmitter works well when connected via a data cable, and it performs nicely with a drone simulator. The sticks are very responsive and smooth. I’d really like to get Bluetooth working so I can use it with an R/C plane. For now, I’ve removed one star due to the Bluetooth issue and limited support options, which I hope can be resolved through a firmware update or direct help from the manufacturer.

First of all, I think this is for thumber FPV pilots only. It’s hard to hold if you’re a pincher, and it lacks trim switches for wings, cars, etc. If you meet these requirements and love the idea of having a compact setup as much as I do, I think this thing is great. I have a few transmitters, but the white BetaFPV model that looks like this ends up being my go-to just because it’s so easy to bring along and use. I don’t like feeling like I’m booting up a cereal box with a PC inside when I want to fly. This is higher quality than the BetaFPV version. It just feels like better plastic and the gimbals feel tighter and better. The basic connection and function is the same. It’s very easy and intuitive to setup and use. It also feels like the signal is a bit stronger, but that could be in my head. I haven’t done formal testing on that. The battery also seems to last plenty long. For the price and just in general, this is great.

Works great with Aerofly and Uncrashed simulators. Very easy to configure. The hall gimbals are very accurate. It’s light weight and feels good to fly with. Works great for drones and planes. The only negatives are that the battery life could be better and I wish the gimbals could be adjusted to be longer for pinch flying. Also there is no trim. However for the price and features it’s very good.

Absolutely useless will not connect to any ELRS receiver do not buy this just buy a radiomaster pocket.
