You also must drill 4 holes for the mounting screws - also made easy using the template. For me, it took 10 minutes to hand-saw through the thin, paneling-like board backing of my entertainment cabinet. 10 minutes to mount the fan with 4 screws. It took 2 minutes to plug it into an unused USB port on my amplifier for fan power. Now, my whole 7 component system stays cool. What a difference with this fan! Super quality, well-packaged, comes with a good manual and a helpful template for the cutout and screw holes. My only complaint is that it comes with a flat-pin plug, so you will need an adaptor to plug it into Indian sockets. I installed it in my home theater unit, which houses all my electronics, including a UPS, WiFi router, and a bunch of other things. The fan brings down the heat by almost 4 degrees in L mode and about 7 deg C in H mode. It runs quiet and cannot be heard when the TV is on. When the room is silent, the noise is audible but acceptable. It is not cheap, but from first impression, it is worth the added cost.
