Good book and good paper quality

Its good book if you want to understand deep concept of optics but its difficult to understand it but book is awesome no doubt if your basic concepts are good or you are in msc or in phd student

Classical bool must have especially physics student this,is my advice or order , buy this book now...and feynman 1st vol. Is also,good and sommerfeld on optics is also good and theoretical. Combining these three books you will never choose any other book, i am sure if you are an undergraduate student.

Very good book and rare book now-a-days. But it needs recent edition and some recent chapters should be added.

As I said, this is THE book if you want to get to know optics. It teaches skills that are uncommon now, like using precise drawings to find angles of lens systems, etc. It is fantastic. If you work through this, you'll have a more or less complete understanding of optics.There is also a solutions manual, but good luck finding it. It apparently has been out of print for a long time and there are only ~4-6 libraries in the US that has a copy. If you can find one, you can do as I did and scan it to make a digital copy. The inside of the solutions manual has a copyright notice that says that you may make a full copy provided you are using it with this book, so you should be good to go if you choose to do this.

This book is awesome

One of the best books you will find for introductory optics. It covers from the simplest topics to some advanced ones that may help you even in grad school. Highly recommended for universitary students.
