Like a lot of folks looking at this pillow, I was at my wits end. I had been sleep deprived for a long time, got diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and looked toward my CPAP machine as the thing that was going to turn my life around all to discover it would not be an instant fix but a series of macro and micro adjustments on the path towards better sleep and health. My pillow situation was a macro adjustment. I have always side slept propped up with a mountain of pillows and a neck bone pillow (loved that thing fiercely) but that set up was not going to work with the mask. I fiddled with the pillows I owned, bought others at Costco and Target and then went searching online to see what solutions other folks found and found this EnduriMed CPAP pillow--which has exceeded all expectations. The minute I laid down on the pillow with my mask on I knew it was victory!! I really struggled to spend so much on one pillow, but remembered another reviewer who said just buy the dang thing and they were right! This pillow really works for me as a side sleeper. I use a Resmed AirFit P30i nasal pillow air mask and I am able to side sleep very comfortably with an acceptable amount of mask movement. The longer I use the pillow, the less I seem to disturb the mask while I sleep and move around. This product gets a whopping and well deserved 5 stars from me. I am two weeks in with using the EnduriMed CPAP pillow and I think it might be the best pillow I have ever owned--period. If so, does it work?** A: Yes, it does! I bought my CPAP pillow about 2 weeks ago, and was just now coming back to write my own review when I saw your question. I've been a CPAP user for 6 years, and while the CPAP's an amazing device that has improved my ability to sleep 100%, I've fought with my pillow--and I've tried 5 different ones--every night of those 6 years, until now. This odd-looking little thing is the first pillow that has allowed me to sleep on my stomach comfortably and without completely mashing the mask and/or hose into my face. I'm assuming that you sleep on your stomach but turn your head to one side or the other, like I do, and if so, you will be able to find a comfortable position with this pillow that works for you. (P.S. Getting tangled up with the hose was another problem complicated by being a stomach sleeper, so I coupled this purchase with one of those inexpensive hose-hanger gizmos that wedges between your mattress and box springs, and holds the hose up above your head and out of the way. It looks like some sort of torture device, but I can't believe the difference that the combination of this pillow plus the hose-holder has made! However, the pillow alone will make your stomach-sleeping life much happier, I'm sure.) **Q: Does this pillow provide neck support?** A: Yes absolutely. The two long sides have different neck support options. One is a little lower to the bed for smaller sleepers and the other side is higher up for larger sleepers, so depending on exactly how much neck support you need, you can flip the pillow around. Super comfortable and perfect for cpap mask users. **Q: I am mostly concerned about the red marks on my face from my mask. Does this pillow stop that from happening.** A: I haven't thought about it until now. I used to be a side sleeper, however since using this very comfortable pillow I believe I sleep mostly on my back! Every so often when I do turn and sleep on either side the indentations you see in the picture allow for no pressure on the straps, so no red marks on my face. **Q: Did it help reduce facial lines?** A: I only sleep on my side to fall asleep, and this pillow does help with keeping the full mask from moving, but I never wake up with facial lines, and I don't know if that is from the pillow or the headgear that came with my unit. Finally found a bed system that worked for me... until it didn't. I have wasted a bunch of money buying different styles of pillows & different mask styles - trying to be comfortable. Eventually I settled on a low solid foam pillow and the Dreamwear nasal mask. Problem is I'm a side sleeper and a couple of weeks ago I noticed permanent dents starting on my cheekbones. It wasn't too tight or anything it's just from laying on it. I felt defeated and worried it was back to square one. Since then I've been in MacGyver mode. I've tried every hack I can come up with between cutting a hole in my pillow, to padding the face tube sides with different things to distribute the strap impact better. Even the mop head hack off of YouTube. Nothing helps. I was hesitant to invest yet another $100 into yet another pillow, but decided to take a chance on this one because it's specifically designed for CPAP. I'm not disappointed and wish I would have just bought the right dang pillow in the first place. Once it's broke in a bit it will be perfect. No pressure on my cheek whatsoever yet side of forehead and jaw feel supported.
