Good buy for children
If you are buying for little kids it's a good buy. My seven year old kid liked it. Good art work. Story is not very detailed. But that certainly makes it fast paced. Full of the kind of action and adventure that will catch and hold the attention and interest of children.

A Rousing Adaptation for Young Readers
The Seven Voyages of Sinbad by Martin Powell and Ferran is a wonderful retelling of the classic Arabian Nights stories of the Persian sailor Sinbad, written for kids and lushly illustrated. As an adult fan of the legendary character, who grew up with the wonderful fantasy films of Ray Harryhausen, I purchased the book simply to add it to my Sinbad collection, but upon reading it, I was extremely impressed by Powell's concise and faithful adaptation. Considering the limited page count and the target audience (pre-teen school kids), Powell does a remarkable job of including all of the sailor's best-known adventures - the great whale, the cyclops, the roc - and even manages to include some emotional heft. Sure, a lot has been left out (and understandably so), but Powell - abetted by the extremely talented Ferran - has wisely retained the most visually interesting and exciting exploits, carefully selected and executed so as to keep young readers enthralled. There does seem to be a small error on the cover (and this Amazon listing), which credits an artist named Daniel Perez, rather than Ferran, who is credited inside, for the art, but while it's a little confusing, it doesn't hinder the fun and energy of the graphic novel. The art - whoever created it - is utterly gorgeous, colorful and dynamic. The character designs are pleasant and appealing, and the monsters are appropriately scary. If I had received this book as a boy, it would have instantly become my favorite. As it is, it's still a great read and beautiful to behold.

A Worthwhile Re-Take
This is a slick, creative alternative that will help younger folks get into this classic story. I recommend it even for adults who want to have a little fun reading a familiar tale. I would also recommend the other works done in the same series. Why not? They are fun and capture some of the original spirit of reading or watching the stories on TV as a kid.

The Seven Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor
This new version of the Seven Voyages of Sinbad was the worst desecration of the famous Arabian Nightshero Sinbad the Sailor ever published! First of all, the artist advertised was Daniel Perez, but the artist who was hired as illustrator is named Ferran. So what happened to Perez, the advertised original illustrator? If he isthe same illustrator, why was he advertised with a completely different name?Secondly, among other obvious shortcomings in this graphic novel, Sinbad's fifth voyage is told in onlyeleven art frames! What happened to the famous Sinbad adventure with the Old Man of the Sea, one of the mostfamous of the seven voyages? It was totally ignored in this horrible adaptation of the Sinbad tales. All in all, it was a complete waste of money, and I advise readers to avoid buying this farcical book!
