The book is an autobiographical account of the shocking fate of women with beauty, brains and voice in a feudal, patriarchal society, where gender discrimination, domestic violence and extreme humiliation of women by their menfolk is the norm. The courage demonstrated by the author by exposing the wrong deeds of her politically powerful husband in a closed society is praiseworthy.The book succeeds in encouraging women to redeem their self respect by speaking out and seeking out of exploitative marraiges.

This autobiography is written with such honesty. It takes immense amount of courage to lay your life bare out in the open for the world to learn. Hatsoff to the author, I am speechless.

I like it so much that i have gifted my two freinds with this captivative, creepy, fascinating and gripping book.It grips you from the very first page n then doesn't let you take rest until you finish it. Go ahead and explore the trauma of pakistan's elite class.

Spend on it.its worth reading...a love story of missing love....how life changes from fairy tale to hell......u will every part of it...except politics..

When one of my friends told me “You should read ‘My Feudal Lord’ of Tehmania Durrani”, I never thought this book is much interesting and impressive. I turned all the pages with nervous, curiosity and broken heart. It’s really touching story of a women who suffered lot in her married life. The narration of Ms. Durrani is simple, humble and touching. Yesterday night, @ 12.30 I completed the book which was the end of my great curiosity.One year back, I read the autobiography of Ms. Bhagyalakshmi (Malayalam dubbing artist) ‘Swarabhedangal’ and I can see lot of resembles between the stories of these two ladies.
