This is a fantastic gun, there's just a few things a buyer should know when buying it. At first it will jam a TON if you use regular elite bullets in it. The rebel bullets are just a hair thinner and fire easier. Non rebel bullets are much cheaper though. All you need to do is jam your finger through the hole the bullets shoot out of and mess around with it for a bit to force it to be a bit wider. It will allow the slightly thicker regular bullets to pass through instead of jamming every time. If it does still jam, carry a plastic spoon with you as you use the weapon. They're easier and faster to use to unjam the gun compared to just using your finger. Also, just let the motor rev for a good few seconds before firing, that pretty much ensures it wont jam. There's also a hole on the butt of the gun and again on the end of the barrel, these are great spot to connect a strap to. I put an elastic strap on mine so I can quickly run for it mid-nerf fight and never have to worry about dropping the gun. Sometimes you just suddenly need two hands. I was one of the winners of Zedtown and I only used this gun. So I gotta say, its a damn good one. And yes, you can switch the clip out with any other nerf clip. Though this red decoder clip has to be one of the coolest ones out there. The spare bullet clip is pretty cool too, just hook it on a belt loop. Honestly sucks for use with this gun, but its awesome if you have a non clip gun you hand load.

Worth buying
With all the reviews already available, I will only touch some key points I have not seen discussed in detail. Note that I am very happy with this blaster and recommend it. Compare to similar powered units, this is the smallest, very compact, most quiet, and unique cool color (I am adult male). Great for kids and grown ups. It also had great range for indoor play, average around 65 feet. 1) Some review stated unit failed to work, even with new batteries. The following might not apply to all cases: the jam door is a common problem reported in older reviews. If Jam door is not fully closed, motor will not operate. Some units were reported with jam door popped open on its own. This was one factor why I hersitated with this purchase. There is a safety switch that prevents motor to come on if jam door is not closed. Because I know of at least two ways to bypass this, tape or re-wire, I went ahead with the purchase. Jam door in my unit functions as designed and I have not seen this problem. Another cause, less common than the jam door, is the switch that prevents the motor to start when the clip is absent or not pushed in all the way. Check to make sure clip dose not come off without pressing the clip release button. 2) Unit jams. I also have not seen this in my unit. I only use Nerf darts in this unit. From past experience, specifically on a couple of Stryfe's, non-Nerf darts typically have a more rigid tip, and do not work well in motorized units and creates jams. My guess is this has to do with the two rollers that shoot the darts out of the blaster. Non-Nerf darts seen to work fine in spring powered units. One thing that comes close to a jam in my unit is the first dart only travels less than 15 feet. I believe this is due to the trigger was pulled very fast and motor have not come up to full speed. This only happened a couple of times and only with the first dart.

Powerful little blaster. Good gift idea.
I bought this for my daughter a while ago and just purchased another one as a gift for a friends daughter. It's a lot of fun and easy to use because it is battery operated. A word of caution though, it's a powerful blaster. It shoots a lot harder than a manual blaster. Also, it sometimes jams and you have to fix it. Probably not a problem for older kids, but it gets annoying for the parent after a while.

At current market crashed prices, a must buy!
For the $12.59 each I paid for these, this is a must buy, and my comparison without a chronograph it looks like full Stryfe performance once some of the mechanical and electrical locks are removed. The grip is way too small for a grown man, but for the intended recipients, it will do just fine. (bought two for nieces) I disabled the jam door lock by carefully prying out and flipping the switch around in it's housing so it's permanently depressed. I then removed the trigger reset safety because you gotta go fast. I left the rev trigger safety intact, as it doesn't really negatively impact performance or reliability. Disabling the thermistor and running on 3x Trustfires and one dummy battery at minimum is suggested for an easy modset that takes less than an hour and drastically improves performance and reliability. Honestly, at sub $13, it would probably be worth picking up a few for integrations, at the current prices it's totally possible to transpose a larger grip an stock onto it if you can't get ahold of a Stryfe or Desolator, or prefer the more streamlined shell. Pros: Flywheels! Similar performance to a stock stryfe Accessory rail Really neat magazine design that works in other mag fed blasters Accepts N-strike magazines Cons: Only moderate stock performance as with other stock flywheels Poor jam door safety design Front heavy design due to front loaded battery compartment No N-strike muzzle or stock attachment Small grip why is it the Rapid Red, there's nothing red on it except the magazine side, what gives? TLDR: Buy it if the price is still good, mod it like a stryfe, let the little-handed ones enjoy it!

Ma fille a énormément de plaisir avec son Fusil Rebelle Rapid Red. Bonne performance. Le premier que nous avons reçus avait un problème intermitant au niveau du moteur. Il fut retourner et avons reçus un nouveau qui fonctionne super bien.

A light and easy to use gun. The magazine is interchangeable with all other elite series guns which only adds to our collection. The fact it is a semi auto also means it is more usable in my opinon as you don't use all the darts in one go. It has the rail on top too so we can add accessories to it at a later date. My daughter loves it and my son will also use it which is a bonus.

Ein echt cooles Teil. Leichte Bedienung. Kann mehrere Pfeile hintereinander schiessen ohne nachzuladen, was einen erheblichen Vorteil in einer "Schlacht" bringt. Der einzige Nachteil, Batterien sind nicht inkl.
