Solid vacuum, but a few things could be better
I do like the product, don't get me wrong. Compared to other wet/dry vacuum's I've had, the maneuverability of this one is great. The elevated handle is very, well handy. The power seems good, and the noise level is relatively quiet compared to others in this size category.Things that could be improved:The storage bag is of good quality, the improvement would be something to keep it from moving around on the handle. It has four straps with snaps that loop over the handle and then snap to keep it in place. The snaps work well. except the loops allow it to slide.Hose and extension storage. Below the handle and storage bag, on the base where the wheels go, there are spots for the hose or extensions to go. They are sized such that only the large size end of the hose / extensions fit. It would seem this could be improved so either end would fit.Cord storage: The handle on top of the motor where the cord is meant to wrap around for storage; the little retaining nubs could be a bit bigger and perhaps a bit sturdier. This is the downside of having a nice long high-quality plugin on the vacuum.Still a great vacuum, but with some small product design changes, it would be even better!

Quiet, well-made, well-designed
I have had Craftsman shop vacs for years, but they were extremely loud. My last one just died after a year of use. I bought the Workshop vac and have been using it for two years now. It is fantastic. Very quiet, yet powerful. The accessories fit nicely in the pouch, and the two extension pieces neatly snap onto the base. The whole thing is easily transportable with wheels or a handle. I got a long hose, and it still has great suction. The hose is exceptionally well-engineered, meaning that it doesn't kink and is easy to handle. Normally I use it as a dry vac, but one night someone left a sink running in the basement, the drain clogged and it overflowed and covered the floor with about 1/4" of water. I put the wet filter on the vac and had the basement mopped up in no time. I absolutely love this vac and would recommend it to anyone.

Makes Life More Sucky but in a Good Way
We've had extreme storms this Spring, bringing down large amounts of rain in a short time periods. I read the reviews for this prior to my purchase, and I thought it would handle the clean up of water puddles (in large amounts) in our basement and garage. By sons were dreading last week's clean up after 24 hours of very hard rain (around 3 inches of rain within 24 hours). However, we plugged in this beauty and the suction was unbelievable!!! It was so good, my oldest son volunteered to use it to finish the many puddles of water that were still there to clean up. It was easy, it was quick, and it cleaned up every last drop of water. We took it out into the yard (away from the house) to empty it (easy to do). We're due for another rain storm tonight and into tomorrow. I don't enjoy getting water into the house, but I'm so thankful I purchased this Wet Vac because it is making my life much easier and less smelly until my landlord has a chance for things to dry out so that he can seal the leaks in the basement and garage. Thank you Emerson Tool Company for making a vacuum that REALLY works!!! It is more appreciated than you will ever know.

Customer support is non-existent.
UPDATE: Part of what makes a product worth its purchase price is the level of support that comes with it. The level of support I've gotten with this item is non-existent. I've still been unable to register it for warranty coverage, and I've never heard back from Workshop in my inquiry about this. Part of what I paid for was the two-year warranty, and if it requires registration that I'm not able to complete, I'm not getting all I've paid for. For this reason, I've lowered my rating to one star. I wouldn't buy another Workshop product simply because they don't seem very responsive. (I've cut other companies out of my purchasing options for various items for exactly this same reason.)This seems to work really well, so I'm happy with it. I did notice that in a few cases design choices were made for low cost rather than high reliability (in particular, locking the wheels onto the axle with the hammer-on caps). Also, in order to get the hose far enough into the inlet for it to lock into place is REALLY hard. I imagine that might ease up a bit over time, but the first time takes a lot of strength.Note to Workshop Wet/Dry Vacs: I went to your website to register for the extended warranty, as mentioned in the card packed with the product. I registered a new account as required, but I don't see any way to register this once that's done. Additionally, you do NOT need to know my phone number, my gender or my home type, and you especially don't need to know what my annual income is. I have not provided you with correct information for those items.

Powerful and solidly built - big too!
Awesome! I'll avoid the usual vacuum joke of "this thing really sucks" but man, the 6-hp motor does make a difference as the suction is extremely powerful. I don't have the tools to measure air watts, but subjectively it's the most powerful I've felt outside of one of those hulking industrial shop vacuums. My only minor gripe: they have inserts in back to hold either the hose or the extension wands, but not both. If you want to keep the wands with the vacuum the hose dangles freely, leaving you to find some awkward way to wrap it around the unit for storage. Not a complaint but a caution: this thing is bulkier than it looks in person. The hose and extensions have a very large diameter, which is great for sucking up large chunks of debris, but it may be difficult to manage if you have smaller hands.

Rolls very nice and is quieter than my last one
I don't like how the hose locks onto the vacuum. I thought I saw something totally different on the videos I watched.

one of the heads has an annoying whistle when used though
The actual Vacuum part of it works well, one of the heads has an annoying whistle when used though. The issue is the two back wheels keep falling off due to poor design! Very upset about that :(
