These are the best kitchen shears made. They are super sharp, I can spatchcock a chicken using these shears with ease. They are great for removing the underneath shell of a lobster, and deveining shrimp too. When I boil my shrimp like to leave the shell on, but remove the vein, these scissors make that so easy. I have tried other brands of kitchen shears but always come back to Henckel, they make the best knives too. I highly recommend the shears, you will love them.

I bought these about 5 months ago to replace a cheap set from IKEA. These are truly a multi functional set of scissors. My wife recently used them to open a really tight lid on a pickle jar. I had tried for 5 minutes y hand and using a tea towel for added grip but unsuccessful, 30 seconds later my wife tells me “it’s off”. I look over to see her using the lid grip feature built into the handle. They keep their edge and are a really nice set of scissors. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a new pair.

Bought these to replace the ones I had come with a knife set I've had for years. The ones that came with the set were awesome, so I was heartbroken when I lost em. These replace the old ones quite well. They don't fit exactly in the slot like the old pair did, but hey, these weren't the original set-so that makes sense. Anyhoots, these are very sharp shears and seep pretty durable. The serrated edges aren't very pronounced which I can't tell yet whether is a good thing or a bad thing. They are very sharp though, and I like that. They're smooth, and theres both a bottle cap opener and a jar-assist on them, so that's cool. I'd recommend these for sure. A little pricey though...went to the store and found some for like $3.00 after I'd already ordered these; D'oh! I'm sure the $3.00 pair weren't as high quality as these though. Enjoy!

The shears in my knife block finally broke (not a Henckels brand set), and I got these as a replacement. They fit great in the slot where my old shears went (really important), but are sharper, a little heavier-weight & are more ergonomic than my old shears. They cut through plastic, bones, chicken, cord, paper- you name it- with ease. They wash & dry just great in the dishwasher. The handle works as a bottle opener, too, which is a nice bonus. These are well-made, they pleased even finicky old me, and do everything I need them to in the kitchen while looking good. With Amazon Prime, I had these two days from the order date & shipping was free. You can't beat that!

I purchased these to replace my old pair of shears and they're pretty good. I guess I didn't read the description or reviews well enough because I thought they could be taken apart to clean. It's not a big deal, though, just what I am accustomed to with shears, I guess. They are also a little bit shorter than I thought, but that's my fault for not paying attention to the description. They are sharp and they cut easily with minimal effort. I have several J.A. Henckels products and these, while very affordable, are probably the lowest in quality, but the quality isn't terrible. I do wish I would have spent a little more on a better and more expensive pair, but these will work for me for a while. I have used them several times for various tasks and they have washed well without rusting or becoming damaged in any way. I do hand wash and dry them rather than put them in the dishwasher. It's nice that these include a bottle opener and nutcracker, should you need them, but I haven't used either of those features. For the price, I'm happy with them, but I imagine I will be replacing them in a few years.

And the bottle opener bit in the handle has come in handy on more than one occasion. The 4 star for durability is because I have only had them a few months, with occasional use. They seem very well made. They are quite sharp and cut meat and small chicken bones easily. The 4 star for "easy to clean" is because they can, as will all tools of this nature, require the dishwasher to be extra sure they are clean after using them with raw chicken. I highly recommend them as an economical kitchen shears.

After searching various kitchen shears brands and reading their reviews, I chose the J. A. Henckels brand and have no complaints. They are very sturdy, very sharp and will suit my need for kitchen shears that will cut meats and other food ingredients easily. For paper and other non-kitchen items, I would buy a cheap pair of scissors rather than dull these quality shears. As ususal, the product arrived in speedy time and without damage because it was packaged well. I would purchase this product again and I would recommend this brand to my family members and friends.

My wife she always taking kitchen shears to open Amazon packages. I say, enough lady! Why you ruin my kitchen shears? Then she accidentally throw my good ones away. This what happen when you fight my wife, you lose always. So i get these new ones and they cut very nice. I just have to hide from wife so she doesn't ruin them too. You get but hid from Amazon crazy wife, ok?

We have used these scissors to cut up chicken. These are the only ones that work well. On our 6th pair in 10 yrs of use.

These scissors work great in the kitchen or around the house.

I owned a pair of these for years until I used them for tin snips - they still functioned after but not so well. I bought a pair of kitchen aid shears to replace them but I actually preferred the damaged Henkels. So when these came back in stock I bought a replacement pair and they’re the scissors for me.
