Works great and solved a problem with my laser tripod.
I bought this for my large laser tripod. I needed something that would extend from the top plate of my tripod far enough so it doesn't obscure my vertical beam from showing on the floor below. It also has the 5/8- 11 female on one end with the 1/4- 20 male on the mounting end which is exactly what I needed. I find that having a pivoting lockable head on the 1/4 inch side is also useful.I can also attach my ball head mount to the top of it for almost limitless angles. The threads are clean, snug and well sized so I dont see cross threading as becoming a problem. If you have the need, I'd highly recommend it!
