I got this a month ago. I've been so thrilled about product and been enjoying it so much that I forgot to give it a rating. I love this so much...it has every classic game unimaginable. It brings back the best nostalgic times I had during my childhood. There's no other words to describe this. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! If you are planning on getting one... I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. It also comes with a carrying case, too. This is pure awesomeness at its finest!!!

Doesn't turn off

I bought the Upgraded XF40H Handheld as a gift for my wife, and she was so excited to dive into some nostalgic gaming. On paper, this sounds amazing — tons of classic games, multiple emulators, crisp 4.0” IPS screen, open-source Linux system… the whole retro dream. The good first: the graphics actually look really decent for the screen size. Colors/contrast are sharp, gameplay is visually smooth, and the overall size is perfect for grab-and-go gaming. It’s compact without feeling too tiny or overly bulky, and the included case is a really nice bonus. Now for the not-so-fun part. A lot of her favorite games just didn’t operate correctly with the built-in controls. And that’s where the excitement fizzled. Some games that should clearly use a joystick were mapped to awkward other buttons like up/down instead, or it uses one right side button to move that direction but a totally different one to move left-- which made gameplay feel incredibly awkward...and, honestly, frustrating! Every game ended up being a different experience control-wise — and not in a fun, “variety is the spice of life” kind of way. More like a “why is this so hard to move left but I can move right like a ninja?” kind of way. It’s disappointing because the hardware itself is solid. The screen looks great, the size is convenient, and it could be a fantastic little system. But inconsistent control mapping really takes away from the experience — especially when you’re trying to relive your favorite games the way they were meant to be played. This one review is frustrating because the unit has so much potential--it may work phenomenally for someone who can easily fiddle with its operation, etcetera. That person is definitely not me or my Wife--and so it was kind of a flop for us.

The device is solid and feels good in your hands. I have a vertical device as well and in comparison I feel the vertical with a large screen is a nice compliment. For the price of the device it is well worth the purchase. The pre-loads is a good variety for any legacy gaming fan.

Just buy it. Don't wait. Feels like good quality hardware. Worth the money.

I’m really impressed with this little console . Fairly easy to use and every game I’ve tried so far runs really smooth . The retro achievements are really neat too

This is an absolute piece of trash and it bricked in less than 2 days.. it doesn't have 8 gigs of ram like the specs say.. what a waste of time and money.. stay away from this overpriced piece of absolute garbage..
