Amazing experience to read this book, I usually read it after coming back from clinic to review my knowledge regarding general science.

The book takes the reader to a wonderful journey of Science starting with the pre-historic age. Almost all the branches of science are introduced in a lucid language and beautiful images. The book would act as a reference for both parents and young kids to understand the fascinating world of science. Highly enjoyable book !

This book is wonderful. I bought it hoping to help with broader science education for my 8 year old daughter. First thing to note is that this isn't a kids only book. If you give this to an 8 year old it will go over their heads.The layout is gorgeous, with every page being crammed with full colour photos and the cover has a lovely embossed feel. Its very visually appealing and screams READ ME! The text is handled eloquently and is easy to understand for an adult. I think a child would need to be around 10-12 to get the most out of this on their own, but with support we are enjoying it for both my 6 and 8 year olds.We love to open at random, and take a tour through a subject, covering chemistry, physics, space, biology, and engineering. Each topic is handled via key principles of the subject with history and talking points. I've found that I can summarise the more in depth explanations and she can handle the picture captions but I love this joint effort in learning as it feels more like a conversation.

Muy bueno y completo. Una de las mejores aquisiciones que he hecho. En texto e imagenes vale el precio. Se dominas(a nivel medio) el ingles mucha informacion acompanada de excelentes ilustraciones que lo explican casi todo. No es perfecto a N. Tesla y otros no le dan la importancia que se merece: la curriente alterna. Y Edison se lleva casi todo(pero no es lo que nos enseñan en general)...tirando estes pequeñas partes, es muy bueno.

初めてサイエンスの百科事典を買いました。届いて現物を見た瞬間、感動しました。今までのどんな本よりも重量的にも中身的にも重いです。（多分5キロはあります）薄いビジネス書なら15分で読めるレベルの速読力があるのですが、この百科事典を読了するには1ヶ月は掛かりそうです。これが4000円なんて破格です。肝心な中身はというと、前世紀から現代までの科学史が鮮やかなビジュアルで描かれています。この一連の流れを知ると、理科の教科書のアレコレの法則や現象を「なぜ」学ばなければならないか一目瞭然になるでしょう。遺伝技術も原子力もインターネットも暗黒物質も歴代科学の積み重ねの総意なのだとわかりました。ちなみに私の好きな項目はSteam Power to Steam Engine です笑
