Awesome game night fun!!!
This was an absolute blast to play! We had 18 guests, so not everyone was a role to play, but everyone had a lot of fun!Highly recommend!!

Best yet
We’ve played 4 of this company’s murder mysteries (Chocolate, Wine, Champagne, and this one), and we enjoyed this one best. The others were also very good, but this one was simpler and we were all surprised by the ending.Different from the others,1. The script booklets were in dialogue format and told you exactly when to reveal your clue. This made it easier to follow along and sped things up.2. The two non-suspects did not have a script. Fortunately for us, the person playing Dan Dragnet, the TV detective, was extremely good at improvising and we used him to get each round going. Peggy Sue helped by summing up each character at the end.3. Each character was informed on page one if they had motive and whether they were the murderer or not. (The other 3 we played revealed these things at the end.) Our “murderer” did an outstanding job evading suspicion. We all really liked it better this way.Highly recommend for a fun night with friends!

Fun Mardi Gras night!
Everyone had a blast with this murder mystery game. It does take awhile to get the flow of dialogue down and it is hard to know what type of questions to ask but by the 4th chapter we were doing pretty good. Only one of us guessed the murderer. The jambalaya recipe is really good. I substituted half Cajun sausage and half polish sausage and added some Cajun spice. Hurricanes were made in a punch bowl and were a huge hit!

Great fun, everyone is waiting for the next party.
Fantastic experience! This game was really fun, and easy enough to follow. I was quite nervous because it was my first murder mistery party, and also because we are from Mexico, so english is not our first language; but everything went great. This box is very complete; it comes with scripts for each guest, invitations, name tags, menu, decoration and costume suggestions. We did prepare the food just as suggested, it tasted better than expected, but if your guests are big eaters llike mine, plan a little bit more (specially on the firs course) the drink they suggest was delicious and a big hit.BEST: The plot, it is well constructed. No one guessed who the murder was (except the murder himself)WORST: The murder knows that they are the murder from the start, that guest sayed it wasn't as fun, but since he/she is a great player, did his/her part great and nobody suspected; but if you happened to have a weak link it could be discovered beforehand. Only very few options ship to mexico.Tips: Enjoy, and have fun, don't worry much about the outcome. Choose friends or family that DO like to act and get into character, the more they get into it,the more fun it will be.Highly recomend this game and I will surely purchase more of this brand.

Great Product!
We had such a fun night with this one. The hurricane cocktail recipe that's included was amazing and really got the fun going! MURDER mystery starts off kinda slow as there aren't super detailed instructions, but we got there! Only one of our guests correctly guessed the murderer. We went all out with decorations and costumes to help everyone get into character. We served shrimp cocktail, peach and bourbon bbq meatballs, Louisiana chicken pasta salad, and of course a seafood boil with potatoes, corn, sausage, crab legs, lobster claws, and crawfish. Dinner was definitely a hit! We finished off the night with a Mardi Gras bundle cake, and yes, we hid a toy baby inside the cake! This game is played in chapters, so it works nicely with a multiple course meal.We did a little photo shoot as people arrived, and filmed the accusations at the end.

Fantastic Game, But Quality Control Issues
This was our friend group’s third time ordering murder mystery game from this company. We played this last night for a birthday party and had a blast! The only problem is that we were missing clues 6-8 (arguably the most important clues). We still pieced it together without them, but it was disappointing to not have them. Most likely a fluke, but it was a lesson learned to check the box when you first receive it. We planned the party 3 months ago, so it’s too late for any returns/refunds.

Great idea for a themed dinner party
The media could not be loaded. This was such a fun idea for something different to do with your friends. I was the host of the party, but I also played the character Bourbon DuPre.The game comes with a guide for the planner/host that tells you the order in which things should happen, menu suggestions etc. The “story” takes place in 4 chapters. You will assign your guests to play one of eight different characters, one of which is already predetermined to be the killer, but no one knows except the killer upon opening your character booklets at the beginning of the game.At the beginning of the game when everyone opens their books, a suggestion would be to tell everyone to make their best guilty faces…this way, if the actual killer doesn’t have a good poker face, it doesn’t give anything away. It also helps if your friends really get into their parts and are over the top with it. Each of my guests really committed to their parts.I didn’t really follow the menu suggestions and came up with my own courses. We had a pre dinner cocktail hour where I served a Cajun inspired charcuterie board and boudin balls. The main course was chicken and andouille gumbo with rice. We ended the night with beignets (I ordered beignet mix from Cafe Du Monde) and hurricanes were the signature cocktail of the evening.I ordered various Mardi Gras decorations and had a photo wall for pictures. I also provided plenty of beads, masquerade masks and other favors. I gave each of my guests a personalized cocktail glass with a Murder at Mardi Gras design along with their names on it.Everyone had a great time and I definitely want to host for Murder mystery parties in the future!
