I don't think things like the blue/red 3-D glasses
So Poorly Done - a shame. The topic is an interesting one, but this book is just so poorly done. First, the collection really seems random, I don't think things like the blue/red 3-D glasses, the "BowFlex" exercise machine, the 'Ginsu knife', the 'Super Soaker' squirt gun, or the cocktail shaker belong in a list of 150 gadgets that 'changed the world'.On top of that, you get a few paragraphs for each item that rarely provides much insight, I saw several typos, many out and out mistakes. It is just so sloppy, the publishers should be embarrassed. As an example - under "CD Player", it lists the invention date at the top as **1985**, yet, it shows a picture of a portable CD player near the bottom, and says it was released in **1984**. And the picture alongside the 1984 reference is not the device released in 1984, it is a much later model. Now how could a **portable** player (which came after the home models) be released **before** it was supposedly invented? Where were the proofreaders?Errors and sloppy work permeate this book. Find a better way to spend your time.
