I always wanted to visit Khajuraho in India because they have these fascinating buildings covered with statues performing sexual acts out of the Kama Sutra. This movie plays mostly in Khajuraho and the story is about a Californian sculptor who comes to work in Khajuraho to restore some statues. He is accompanied by his girl friend and they have sexual problems. They run into a beautiful Indian woman who turns out to have been the sculptors' lover in another life. I like the part when the movie tells the story of the lovers in the past. The modern day love story in between the sculptor and his girlfriend is a little bit cheesy and looks like it came out of a soft-porn studio. this is my second DVD I bought with the title Kama Sutra, the other one is a film made by the famous Indian director Mira Nair, which is better.

This movie gives the viewer a good overview of the general context of the culture that produced the original kama sutra back in the early middle ages...a good companion to the movie "Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love".

This movie was edited into garbage, they took all the nude scenes out of the movie, over 10 minutes of nudity and the acting is horrible, I think this was supposed to be softcore porn so expect softcore porn kind of acting but with no nudity, they took ALL the nudity out i think they're is only like 9 seconds of nudity and thats it, the blond girl in this movie is also a softcore porn star.I saw the unedited version of this on HBO and it is one of the best movies around i bought this thinking that it was just like the hbo one ,but its not.if you can find the unedited version then i recommend you buy it.

"Tales from the Kama Sutra."It's not the highest budget film, but all the India scenery looks so good, and the naked Indian women. So if they would release this in High Definition Blu-Ray, I'm sure that it would re-sale this movie to those of us who discovered this scarcely recognized release.

I use to have this movie on vhs years ago its beautifully filmed and the actresses are beautiful classic movie

Every lover in the world should watch this.
