Wow- NOT made of steel!
I should have known from the weight of the "dolly"and the appearance of the photo that it was not made of metal. I looked at lots of reviews, trying to see if the "DOLLY" platform was metal....no one, nor the manufacturer, mentioned that it was plastic! I may have missed this information if it was posted somewhere. The casters are joined to the platform by steel but that's it! I was wanting something that wasn't plastic. That said, it will do exactly what I want it to do. It rolls very easily and is very stable. I would recommend this product, though I don't know about its durability. The container that sits on this doesn't weigh hundreds of pounds. It also won't be sitting outside year-round. It will be used to move a lemon tree in and out of the garage during the winter- out on sunny days, and stay in on really cold days. Four stars because the description really was not accurate.

Sturdy, long lasting dollies
I have several of these, both in the 24" and the 16". A few have several years on them and they are without issue. I do wish I had purchased the 16" dollies without the center opening as I like to add drains that exit to a fitting on the bottom side of the dolly. I can then add a piece of tubing to direct the runoff wherever I like. I ended up plugging the center hole in the 16" dollies and then adding a drain. My larger dollies support half wine barrel planters that likely weigh in excess of 50 lbs. No problem moving them at all. 2 dollies support whole wine barrels with glass tops. Again, sturdy and without issue.

Another use for the Plant Dolly
I recently purchased the 16" Plant Dolly-Terra Cotta from "B's Family Flea" through Amazon.com. I am somewhat disabled, walk with a cane, and unable to lift items over a certain weight. The dolly was put to use in my kitchen; I have placed my new touchless trash can onto the dolly. Because of my back I sit on a stool to eat rather than a regular chair; I pull the trash can (on the dolly) to my eating location; then when I am finished the debris goes into the can and the can and its wheels are put back in their regular place. When I am cleaning up the dishes, loading the dishwasher, or am preparing salads, etc., I pull the trash can by its handle (still on the dolly) to the sink, sit on my stool and prep my food. If others want to try this, be sure that you measure not only the width and depth of your trash can, but also the diagonal inches to make certain that it will fit properly. There are several features that are especially attractive about the dolly: The raised rim at the edge of the platform area and the five ball bearing rubber wheels. Having a steady hand on the trash can and those five wheels allows my innovation to be a more stable appliance when it is moved. When I have my sewing machine set up on the kitchen table, the trash can and dolly share the space with me to collect my sewing waste.

This plant dolly is easy to use and holds at least 50 pounds
I have used this plant dolly for over a year. It holds together and works very well. The casters on the bottom of the dolly roll very easily. The platform has not cracked. I have used it to move heavy plants on my patio and take heavy Christmas decorations out of the garage. I love this plant dolly.

Solid as a rock
That is something you could move a lot of dirt and clay with which I assume is the intended purpose, to move a Potted plant.if the outer diameter of the item you wish to transport is 15 3/4" it will fit inside the short rim that can keep something from sliding off.at 170+ Lbs I was able to stand on it , it is that robust. If there was any con , it would be the small wheels , like any small wheels or casters, they wont easily drive over rough surfaces ,and jump thresholds, and expansion joints :-)

A Reliable Product.
This can hold the weight of my 18 inches wide pot and a 4 ft tall Kaffir lime tree. During Winter months, I have to bring into the house. I don't have a green house built outdoors. I needed a dolly plant stand that can support and ease the mobilty between outside and inside transition. It is sturdy and mobile, easily to move around. There is a hole in middle for water drainage. It also has a roller lock, to secure , to a permanent position. The surface does not inhibit mold, from dampness. No more heavy weight-lifting planters, to transition my citrus plants, between the Summer (outdoors) and Winter (indoors) seasons. I hope to add-on more citrus species, together with this reliable dolly planters indoors .

WOrth the bit extra to be able to move plants around
The prior one I bought at the local Orange store. it was reasonably priced but moving plants on the cheap plastic wheel was a struggle. SO I decided a bit more money for a stand with decent wheels was worth it. These wheels int heir first year are so easily moved my wife actually rotates the large potted tomato plant weekly. Prior to this stand, I had to do it with her help to prevent the pooted plant from tipping due to the delecate nature of the cheap microwave cart like wheel on the other plant stand.Next year I plan on buying another one.

Love this product!!!
I love this product. I purchased this a few times, and have to say that I prefer the carts that have a solid bottom to the carts with a hole for drainage. I have to use a drip tray for the carts with a hole, although they would be perfect for a solid bottom pot.

I love this dolly
I like this dolly, because it is very firm and can take a lot of weight. It moves around so smoothly, very nice wheels and there are 5 castor wheels instead of just 4. (But there are no locks, but that was not important to me.) I am also glad for the hole in the middle, because I am using this outside, soon as the weather is agreeable, and I want it to be able to drain from the 7 gallon planter bag that I have on it at this time. It is well worth the price.

These will last many years
Really well made using good materials. The wheels are excellent. Fits a 10-gallon fabric pot perfectly. The drainage hole is smaller than it looks in the picture but is effective.

Exactly as described.
I used it to put my footstool on it for extra seating and to the footstool easily (it was a heavy meditation hassock).
