Works great!
Just had knee replacement with long recovery. This stick helped me be a little more independent.

Get the right length for the user
I got this for someone I work for as a caregiver. He has two of them in differing lengths, depending on how bendy he feels from day to day. It is very hand for putting on his socks, and it's smooth and slides them on easily. It takes some practice. If you have a fairly flexible back, get the shorter one, otherwise get the longer one so you don't have to bend over so much to maneuver it. It's easy to hang anywhere by the hook part, and easy to find when dressing. It can be used to pull your shirt from your pants when undressing, and to hook a button to pull a dress shirt closed. It also comes in handy as a back ssratcher! No elderly patient should be without one of these handy sticks. I rated it down just a little because the plastic part breaks under too much pressure. But don't we all?

Exactly what I ordered and recommended by PT for my partner
This is a helpful product for someone with disabilities needing assistance in dressing themselves.

Extremely useful!
I just had hip replacement surgery, and this tool has been a life saver so many times. I have some swelling in my operated leg, and the compression socks I have to wear are really difficult to get off. The only criticism I have of the tool is that it has bent a couple of times during this process. The good news is it hasn't broken, I was afraid it might, but as the swelling goes down, getting the socks off is easier, and the tool isn't bending any more. Invaluable in changing clothes -- pulling things on and pushing things off.

Simple Dressing Stick
I ordered one of these for myself to help me with dressing after back surgery. It is an excellent tool very helpful for someone who cannot bend over. It is much easier to manipulate for dressing and assisting than a "gripper" tool, that you have to squeeze to grasp objects (that tool is very helpful for other tasks.) It was so helpful that I ordered a second one for my friend who also had back surgery. When she got hers, she was very happy with this tool. At first glance, the odd shape of the hooks doesn't make sense but after getting it, and practicing, the design is clear. One hook for pulling, the other for pushing and then a simple closed hook for "snagging" things. My occupational therapist (OT) says that this tool is one of the better designed dressing sticks that she had seen. It is NOT designed for moving heavy things around, but it is not fragile.

Works well until it breaks
Easy to use but not as sturdy as it should be.

extra sturdy pole make it useful for other things.
Great sturdy dressing stick that I've taken to use for other things. Because it is so sturdy with a thick strong wooden pole, it works great for putting a hanging flower basket up on a high hook as well as hanging things on a high rod in the closet or helping make a bed that is up against a wall. As a dressing stick it works fine as well. I like it better than the previous one I bought because the hooks at both ends are plastic coated so don't snag anything.

Does bend but come on
I have been in several accidents. You will read reviews that you get splinters. You don 't. You will read that hook end bends. That's true but wrap the area with Magic Putty to harden and it is a wonder. This is a crucial item for persons who cannot bend a leg, even a little. Sock helpers get socks on only so far. The hook here does the rest. Getting thermal (usually)tight socks off was impossible until I got this. For the money, it is invaluable.

Great concept
This is a nice, light and practical tool, but mom's one complaint if you would like to call it that, is that it's smooth so things slip off the hooks. I wrapped the hooks in some tape that has texture to it and we shall see if it helps.

Poor quality
Find that double hook end only screws into wood. It loosens & bends. Could be sturdier with longer screw I would think 🤷🏼Somewhat useful but not as convenient as I thought it wld be.
