Q: How heavy are the boots?

Actually they are very light. If you are hiking the Appalachian Trail then these are not the shoes for you. I go on 5-6 mile moderate hikes in the foothills of Colorado, and they are perfect for my activity. I would consider wearing them for longer hikes too, like 12-15 miles, but longer than that you need a heavy duty hiker. Light, comfortable, waterproof. Perfect for my needs. Evaluate your level of activity.

Q: Are they water resistant and warm during winter?

Yes the lining keeps them moisture / water resistance, my feet have not gotten wet while hiking etc. As far as warmth, don't think they are thermal lined but fairly well padded and seem to be warm. Keep in mind I wear ankle high boots for winter hikes, but wear these on quick outtings and no problems.

Q: Are these actually black or gray?

The shoes have a color very similar to that depicted on your iPhone screen: a combination of black and gray.

Q: Are these composite toe?

No sure what you mean by composite toe, but they have a protective rubber bumper along front and side of toe box but no actual protective toe cap on top. For what its worth, they are very comfortable.
