Jarrow Formulas Jarrow Formulas, N-Acetyl Tyrosine, 350 mg, 120 Capsules

I've used it for months and also gave some to my (stressed) family members, who then came back asking for more.This supplement has definitely helped me beat depression and emotional eating. It took about a week or two to start to see the effects and for some time I took 1 capsule a day. After some months I felt that I was feeling a bit wired (I guess I had build up a level of brain hormones and didn't need as much) so I now take 1 capsule every other day and feel great.P.S.: I've battled depression for many years and none of the meds have ever helped me, it's actually the opposite - SSRIs make me suicidal.So I had given up and accepted that I simply must live with depression, until I stumbled on some blogs that lead me to try this.

My nutritionist advised me to purchase Jarrow N-Acetyl Tyrosine because it has very little additives which I am allergic. I am doing a lot right now & taking just one if these each day picks me up taking away any feelings of sluggishness. I only take one tablet when needed when I know I need to be bright & have lots of energy. I do not take these every single day. Recommend.

Does work

I have used NALT before along with my SSRI anti-depressant because it really makes a difference to get me up and interested in life. I find it works better to empty the capsules into a half-glass of juice.

Takes several days to kick-in, but work well if taken on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning. Increased alertness, energy and need less sleep or feel well rested after usual amount of sleep. Body fat also seems to be slowly dropping; harder physique.

I had good results from the Solgar brand but this seems very weak.

Didn't work for me. My body responds better to L-tyrosine. But that may differ for others.
