Sweet; compact enough to lie upon so is always ready.
This saw me through a real downpour in Missouri once. I saw it coming at me while I was on a hill in a beautiful tree nursery south of Springfield, just off the highway. No one was around as it was Saturday night. Storm was coming from the south, sprinkle started just after I got all stowed away. As I drifted off, I soon was aware that it was a bit windy with much stronger rain and was thinking the local newspaper the next day might have headlines about a drifter blown away while in his tentcot on top of Nursery Hill (or something to that effect, ahahah). The morning came to be quite beautiful, with very little to dry out it only took minutes. After a dump in the taller weeds; a curteous jesture as I was thankful to stay at that wonderful location, I was soon to ramble on my motoring way with the Tentcot gear all stowed away behind the passenger seat in my '03 Honda Civic Hybrid which will nurse my gas at only 1 gallon for every 60 miles. All that I felt all night was a mist at most. Very dry in my book, compared to what was happening around me. Since, I have also added a sleeping bag mattress that expands. I hope that will provide greater insulation needed during possibly extreme cold weather like when once I passed through El Paso, TX on my way home to Dallas/Ft.Worth from Arizona once at Christmas. Temps really dipped and my underside in a down sleeping bag really got too cool. The Tentcot is so great a system though, I will do anything to make this thing adapt to whatever I encounter in the future. It is truely just too neat!!!

Uncomfortable
Bars run across the bottom that dig in your back and some of the metal frame bent. Threw it in a dumpster at the Carlsbad KOA after third time tying to use it.

Original Tent Cot
I used it to sleep in it during a driving trip to Newfoundland and Labrador in early June. The tent cot worked nicely.1. Small enough to carry in my car when folded and pouched.2. Quick and easy to put up and take down.3. Cramped but comfortable to sleep in once settle in it.4. The ground dampness does not bother me at all.but...1. It rains inside when outside temperarture was under coold enough. My breath condenced on inside surface of the tent.2. It is very cramped inside. Changing cloths is a real challenge.3. Air circulation is not very good. Do not ever smoke inside. It will burn or make holes very very easily. It is so small inside that you will die from lack of fresh air.

This is a Good One!
OK Amigos . . this is the real scoop on this nifty piece of kit. I use this little bit of homely comfort for ops equipment in my work every week down in the tropical forests of Belize. Had it in use for the past 3 months and so far so good. Frame seems strong enough, material looks good and zippers are strong. Just about perfect for sleeping. I am 6 ft. tall & 190 lbs. I added a 2" x 80" covered hi-density foam pad (the pad that comes with it ain't much). I can leave the pad in and it will still fold up (just a bit fatter) but still fits easily into the carry bag (which is also a good product). It's the dry season down here now, so I can't speak to the waterproofing aspect at this time but I will get back to you about that later. I do have the additional rain fly, so we'll see. My bet is that she's gonna' work just fine!

Fabulously quick to set up.
Having spent a few nights in my Kamp-Rite Tent with the rain fly. It really does work to keep the rain off. It is ventilated well enough to not be stuffy. In my experience it works well to help maintain the inside temperature in a cold rain.

Great Product. Sets up easy.
It comes with a rain fly, so don't purchase a separate rain fly. I can tip front and back fairly easy if you move to quickly. Other than that its great.

BAD STICHING!
So i just got this cot because im always sleeping on a chair...I took a chance and purchased the tent. I like it except.... The stitching was over the nylon so when I zipp it the whole side gets tight, Making it hard to zipp. There are other reviews I read about the bad stitching but I ignored it. And in the end received a bad sewed tent. Very disappointed.

Good accessory for your tent cot
I recently purchased the tent cot and decided that it would be best to have the rain fly to go along with it. The rainfly fits snuggly with elastic corners. Also, there are straps that attach to the ends of the cot with clips. The sides tie down in four places to prevent it from flying around when you don't have it fully zipped up. My only gripe and the reason it doesn't get five stars is that I think it should have just come with the tent cot in the first place rather than having to order it separately.
