Water just shakes off when closing it up. Great brolly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy but weighty. *by R***N on 27 September 2024* The spring opening is fast and deadly, mind where you point it. The closing mechanism is ok but doesn't return the brolley back down the shaft, you need the might of Thor to pull that thing back to the handle and to get it to click in position. It's quite heavy too and I think most of that weight is in the solid feeling handle and shaft. I like it overall though. In the recent torrential UK rain it's been extremely useful and was worth the price just to be able to get off my bus and magically pop open an umbrella with zero fuss.
