Inexpensive and effective solution to a big problem
Following the failure of the hard drive on my HP Pavilion laptop after about 6 years, I bought this replacement and fitted it in minutes. After reinstalling Windows 10 from a boot drive which I had made on another laptop of mine, I had the Pavilion back as good as new, with all my backed-up data and programs reinstalled in a couple of hours. It now runs so much better than it has for years. Best purchase I've made in a long time.

Bargain Hard drive
The hard disk on my HP Pavillion 15 failed and this came up as compatible on a Google search. I was thinking about installing a SSD but due to financial concerns decided to save that until next time.It arrived well packaged with no instructions but these are not necessary for this item. You just push the connector in and use the plastic guides from the old hard drive and slot it into place. Any instructions are relevant to the laptop this is being installed into and there are lots of videos on YouTube showing the process and this can vary. My old laptop only required a small cover being unscrewed where my HP required the CD drive being removed and the whole bottom cover taken off.Once installed it was just the simple matter of installing the O.S. again.What I think this is good for though would be buying an extra one along with a hard drive caddy and using it to backup photos and/or videos so I may purchase another couple of these in the near future.

Failed in a month the price was telling but sometimesCheap things do last but no this what a shame.This disk self destructed itself after few uses
