Excellent OEM replacement
I went with Union Pads & Abrasives for my PC 333 pads because they have great reviews and a professional, up-to-date website. The Porter Cable pads are over twice the price, and the ratings for Superior weren't too reassuring. I'm very happy with these pads. They fit perfectly and there were no problems when used with the original screws. These pads are 10.4mm or 0.41" thick, and the cushion is more of a black rubber as opposed to the foam on my original PC 13904 pads. That should ensure a longer life. BTW, 13904 is the standard pad and 13905 is the Contour pad, which has a softer foam and conforms to shaped surfaces better. When using your newly renovated random orbital sander, I strongly recommend a good P100 particulate filter such as the MSA Safety Works 817664 Toxic Dust Respirator. Please don't cheap out when it comes to your safety!

Not made well
I have a 5 inch Porter Cable sander. Went to home depot and ordered the replacement pad as mine had lost its hook and loop grip. Delivery time was 5 to 7 days so while waiting I also ordered this generic sander pad from Amazon because I wanted to get project done. My sander was now out of balance/spun faster then usual and it took me longer to sand. Within one day the generic replacement pad from Amazon had completely failed. I noticed that the replacement pad made by Porter Cable had reinforced the holes where the screws attached pad to sander(kinda like a built in washer). This generic one did not. So that is why the sander was off balance and eventually the screws worked their way through the pad. Once I got the Porter Cable replacement pad my job went much more smoothly. The difference was about 4 bucks and a couple of days but I used a lot of time and sandpaper with the inferior product. Hope this helps you make a better decision then I did.

Failed on first use!
I bought this to replace the one on my Porter Cable sander. The rubber on the original pad was falling apart. I attached this pad with no problems, put a sandpaper pad on it and started sanding a guitar body I was making. After not more than a minute or two the pad started vibrating oddly. I stopped the sander to discover that the screw holes for the plastic baseplate had gotten crewed up and came lose from the screws. So the whole pad would freely move around. It appears this fiberglass like plate is too thin and not very strong. The screws were not overly tightened, but still damaged the three holes in the pad, making them too large. Very disappointed. But at least it was cheap.

Meh...Fine for small jobs
I don't break out the sander often and for the 1 or 2 small jobs I had this product worked fine. However, when I needed it to work for a larger job, it failed! I realized I wasn't making much progress after 10 mins or so of sanding which turned out to be because the heat generated had allowed the screws that hold the pad on to melt their way through the plastic pad base. It is unrecoverable damage and will be going in the garbage.

Adequate replacement for Porter Cable 333 Pad Sander
For as little as I have used my Porter Cable 333 Pad Sander, I was a little surprised when the pad base came apart and equally surprised by how much an OEM replacement would cost. Based on some of the reviews, I purchased this sander pad. It was quite easy to install (3 screws) although you will need a Torx T20 bit. This sander pad was less than half the price.

Perfect fit and fast shipping
This replaced the factory pad that lasted me about 10 years! this one fits perfectly and appears to work as needed thus far. Discs stick to it fine with no signs of coming loose after sanding a deck chair. I would definitely recommend it for the price for sure. Quality pad!

Perfect, inexpensive replacement, like new
I purchased my porter cable sanders in the 1990's, expecting to keep them a long time. Eventually the sand paper backer wears out. This is a perfect replacement, makes the sander like new, validating buying quality is worth it.

Simply didn't last
The holes used to place the screws and maintain the attachment wore out quickly and the thing fell off. Used it just a few times. The original lasted for many hours of sanding before it disintegrated. Just put on the second pad after about 2 hours (maybe) of use. Hoping it lasts longer. Likely won't buy again.
