Stop Snoring Adjustable Mouthpiece Sleep Aid Eliminator PRO 2.0

I have been using a custom molded oral appliance for 5 years. It was created by my hospital's Oral Maxilfacial lab at one of the country's leading hospitals. When I purchased it, I was told it would last 3 – 5 years. I purchased the Eliminator Pro with the hope that it would replace my worn out custom molded oral appliance. Prior to getting my custom molded oral appliance, I had to have a sleep study to determine the cause of my snoring and whether, and to what degree, I suffered from sleep apnea. Not only was this expensive but it was inconvenient. It cost at least $700 out of pocket. I was fitted with an oral appliance, which required at least 3 medical appointments with co-pays, parking fees, etc. The device works by pulling my lower jaw forward. It was very uncomfortable for the first few months of use, but it reduced my snoring dramatically. I purchased the Eliminator Pro because I need to replace my custom made oral appliance. The Eliminator Pro arrived quickly, the instructions to fit it to my mouth were OK, and I have used the Eliminator Pro for the last week with great results. It works according to the same design principles as my custom made oral appliance. It pulls my lower jaw forward and eliminates snoring. Over the last 5 years, my custom-made oral appliance has loosened up and my snoring has increased. When I snore, two people have a crappy night of sleep – me and my husband. I am so pleased with the Eliminator Pro! I value a good night's sleep and I love the feeling of waking up in a good mood and well-rested. I also like that if I need to re-mold the Eliminator Pro, I don't have to set up an appointment, and I don't have to undergo a sleep study. I also don’t have to miss work, make appointments, drive all over town, and pay parking fees and co-pays. The Eliminator Pro seems as well made as my custom-made oral appliance, and is very reasonably priced. For new users, it will take some time to get accustomed to sleeping with a big piece of plastic in your mouth. For this reason, I usually don’t wear it when I go to bed. I usually wake up in the middle of the night and I put it in my mouth then. This way, I’m not trying to fall asleep with it in my mouth. Also, my snoring gets loud and disruptive mid-way through the night. I’m glad the Eliminator Pro finally brought a custom snore eliminating device to regular people at a decent price.

Snoring has become a big issue for me after going on dialysis as I amass fluid between treatments and this fluid settles in my neck during the night due to gravity. I am snoring because I am now suffering from obstructive sleep apnea, and I did some experimenting by laying on my back and starting to relax until I started to snore. It became clear I was snoring as my jaw slid back from its default position. I spoke with a dentist about these sleep devices. They recommend them and have a high success rate and they sell a custom made one that lasts up to 5 years. They said before I go ahead with it getting a cheaper one online for a short term trial wouldn't cause any issues so I purchased this one. It's very easy to mould using the included instructions and I got a great fit first run. I set its alignment setting to minimum which looks to be the 1mm setting which holds my jaw just slightly forward of its normal position. Like others have suggested try it for a couple of hours first then work your way up to a full night to avoid discomfort. So the good news...it does an amazing job and feels fine to wear. Snoring has been fixed and confirmed by mu girlfriend! I also constantly bit my tounge and cheeks while sleeping which led to lots of pain and blood. This prevents this from happening. It's not as slimline as a custom fitted device however that is $2800 so I'd recommend this to anyone however you'd have varying mileage based on the severity of your obstructive apnea causing the snoring and jaw shape.

Good product, however I did write reviews to a similar seller: sharp edges inside piece I had to smooth it out. Silicone shrinks a bit much where it leaves exposed plastics at the back of the piece.

I don't leave feedback very often, but I was so sad when this product wasn't what I was hoping for. After being told I may have obstructive sleep apnea I started looking for something that may help while I wait for my next doctor's visit, and came across this product (not marketed as a cure or anything). When I got it the instructions are very clear, and the packaging is good. It says to boil water, drop the mouthpiece in for EXACTLY 90 seconds, then dip it in tap water to wash off the hot water, then set your teeth into it to make an impression for 30 seconds, then submerge it in tap water for 60 seconds to set the impression. I boiled water and set it in the water for exactly 90 seconds. When I started to take it out with the tongs it advises you to use in the instructions, the plastic sections which mold to your teeth had completely shifted, so it was no longer covering the whole top or the whole bottom of the mouthpiece but instead had come up in sections and clumped together. Also it stuck to the tongs which left plastic that hardened on the tongs as well and meant a little less plastic on the mouthpiece. I was so disappointed because I was really hoping this might help me feel more rested. I decided to try again, thinking that if the plastic is meant to be molded to your teeth, maybe I can somehow mold it back into position. So I repeated the steps. This time I made it all the way through the steps, and used a big metal spoon instead of the tongs. Same thing, the plastic was trying to stick to everything and was shifting around. I stuck with it and dipped it in the cool bowl of tap water I had set aside. The instructions say that the mouthpiece is made from materials that do not retain heat so it will not be hot at this point, which I found was not true. It was not unbearable pain but there was discomfort and the heat that was still left was enough to hurt towards the corners of my mouth and my actual teeth became very sensitive and were hurting. then I set it in the tap water for 60 seconds. The plastic had not gone completely back into its place. I could see how this may still be functional for someone, but it didn't even fit properly in my mouth. it was much too wide and vertically it did not fit over my teeth well. I can't rule out that there was somehow user error but I followed the instructions to a "T" twice.

I thought I had quite an overbite & my setting was # 1 (3 settings of which 1 is the smallest adjustment). I didn't really find it uncomfortable to sleep in but I do not use it every night. Usually worn if I had a couple of beers. I think it does work for me. Keeps the air air passage open. The wife hasn't woken me up in a while so not sure if it works yet. Needs more testing. There is a small gap in the middle to allow air in. The problem I found was there's no way to close my mouth once inserted so my throat gets very dry after a couple of hours. Might be a safety thing to allow air in if you have a blocked nose. For the price definitely worth a go. PROS: - Value for money - Wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. Instructions easy to follow - <5mins (time taken to mold & try out) CONS: - A bit big once in my mouth (I'm a medium sized adult male) - Trade off to not snoring is a dry mouth
