Waste King9910 Garbage Disposal with Power Cord, 1/3 HP

I am so glad that I purchased this model after looking at reviews for other models and brands. As other reviewers have already noted, it is very quiet, actually, about two-thirds quieter than the Badger it replaced. It was very simple to install as it comes with a sturdy three bolt mounting system similar to the Badger. In fact, I could have left the Badger's sink flange/3 bolt mounting system on my sink and attached the Waste King to it; however, I decided against doing so because I preferred the Waste King's new, shiny flange to the dull grey Badgers. If you just need a garbage disposal for occasional use that is well built, quiet, and attaches staunchly to your sink, this may be the one for you as it is for me.

Great value! We had an extremely noisy garbage disposal and then had failed after 20 years of service. It took about an hour to install the new waste king disposal. It shouldn't take in about 25 to 30 minutes but the directions for installation we're not as clear as needed. Overall though this has been a great value and I would do it again!

I would certainly buy this again and recommend it. It is quieter than the unit we replaced for sure. The only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a bit difficult to install. It is pretty straightforward installation but needs at least two people and some muscle is certainly needed to get the seal between the top piece and majority of the unit under the sink.

Over the years I have replaced several other waste disposers that used a diecast grind chamber because the housing corroded through. From now on, I'll only buy those with non-metal housings, and this appears to be an excellent design. We chose this model because of the low cost and the the fact that it more than meets the minimal use we give a waste disposer. It's quiet and more than powerful enough to digest table scraps and occasional other light solids. Installation is as easy as any other disposer I have installed.

I was leary of doing the install myself, however this unit came with clear directions fairly easy to follow. Unit works great and, while not whisper quiet, much less noisy than the 11 year old GE unit I replaced. It's been installed for a month and so far works great. About 1/3 less cost than a similar model by another manufacturer at my local home improvement store. Don't forget plumbers putty if your doing the install yourself.

This is a good disposal. It runs much quieter than the one I replaced. I installed it myself and I had no experience replacing a garbage disposal. Directions made it fairly easy and it took me much less time than I had planned. Would buy it again.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The drawings were clear and easy to understand. The instructions pointed out potential pitfalls and suggested practicing before mounting. The unit itself works very well, being just a 1/3 HP design. It would be awesome if they included a little tube of plumbers putty, but I am basically picking nits here.

We could not find any instructions or parts that would allow the drain to go straight out. It only came with the 90 degree that put the drain straight down. I spent two trips to Home Depot 35 miles away to find connections that would make it work. Finally got it.
