you might be looking at this side-by-side with 3M's VHB ... don't. this tape is no where near the density, quality or hold. this is most comparable to the black foam tape i get from daiso (japanese 100-yen ($1.50) store) for, well... $1.50. it's sticky and holds, but not very much and it's not nearly as sturdy or long-lasting as VHB. it also has a terrible odor right out of the bag which most tapes do not... if you're comparing it to the white-foam poster tape, you might like this, but it's nothing like the exterior-outdoor heavy duty 5952 VHB which it's made to look like...

This foam tape is great for crafts and other projects around the house. It is very easy to use and holds great. It is sticky, and strong. I have used this on many different things since I got it. Will continue to use and when crafts that were put on hold are finished, will probably alway make sure I have this double sided foam tape on hand. Very pleased with this purchase.

I got these because who wanted to pay the outrageous price for the name brand. It worked olay for holding my rain guard to my car door. However it didnt take rocket science to see that in some places the tap refused to hold from the beginning. Was super bummed. Ended up having to take it off and redo it. But this time i got a new section of tape and super glue. Its sad I had to buy another product to make one work.
