Pricey but still a very good value
I have tried NUMEROUS Potting/Top Soils. Some have been disasters, performing miserably on starting plants from seeds. NOT BACCTO!!!! Hands down the BEST PERMORMING potting soil that I have tried, and I have used over 25 different manufactures. Plants started in this soil take off like light with rocket fuel. There is no valid comparison to this product. .

No bugs, no fungus! I've been waiting some days before I write this review to check it. The soil that I used before almost killed my plants, after a week using it there were bugs, mold and fungus in my plants, so I decided to change the soil and I chose Michigan Peat 1225 Baccto Premium Potting Soil because of the good reviews that it has, hoping that I won't deal with the same problem. I'm really satisfied, thank you :)))

Michigan Peat 1225 Baccto Premium Potting Soil, 25#
This soil is very nice, but the price is way out of line, It is about a dollar per pound. I purchased 25# x 2 bags. Locally a family member found the same caliber of soil for a shade less then $27.00 for 4 bags at 25# each. I was taken one time, will not buy this brand again due to the price. I am pretty much home bound & didn’t want to impose on anyone, my mistake.

The Baccto potting soil I ordered from Spreetail is a great mix for indoor plants.

More non composted sticks than dirt could not use most of it
Horrible soil. It was mostly sticks instead of soil. I have used this many times over the years and always liked it. Was wondering why my local merchants no longer carry it. Now I know why. Check out the picture. Out of 25 pound bag, I got approximately 2 gallons of soil. The rest was sticks as shown in photo. I’ll never order again 0 start rating if I could

Premium potting soil
I like that this soil is black, moist enough to work with and very little wood pieces. It does have a tendency to be clumpy but I don't mind that as much as too much perlite and wood chips. I have purchased this many times and have been very pleased with my plants. I am giving it 4 stars because it does have gnats or whatever those annoying pests are.

I Like Baccto better than the rest.
I have seen some great looking Tomato plants that were beast big. Then my “Other Green Plants” seem to like it too. Soil quality is good and moist I’ll post my green plants…..maybe they won’t get m
