is the chart (wn viewed in a building leds) lighter or darker then the spraypaint, once the paint is applied to the car.

The chart is pretty accurate but the spray doesn't cover as well as I expected so I would say the chart shows a little dark compared to the actual paint as coverage requires 5-6 medium wet coats to give hiding and get close to the chip saturation level.

I want to spray a metal peg board. Will the spray withstand metal objects banging against it?

No, and it won't work on pegboard either. This paint is for plastic only, and the chart is a huge ripoff!
