Dear Customer ,For this style , Large is 42''-44'' and Extra Large is 46''-48. So 45'' chest falls in between , You could get either depending if you would like it more adjusted or more loose.

Q: Material what is the material these t shirts are made of?

They're made of 100% ultra soft ring spun cotton. The shirts are very soft and comfortable.

Q: When you say "advanced odor protection technology," does that mean you've poisoned the material with something that won't wash out!?

Yes. I returned these because they stained and would not wash out! I washed some shirts 3 times in a row and the stains remained. Don't get them.
