Exactly what you need if you suspect the HD cable on your MacBook Pro 15". I had no trouble whatsoever with the replacement of the existing cable. This cable and the included bracket fit and work perfectly.

Great Part with Helpful Tools

Just what I needed to go the next level
Exactly what the Macbook Dr ordered. After replacing a higher capacity HD to boost my storage on a crashed macbook, I found the ribbon to be bad. The computer would not find the HD for the life of it. I found this ribbon cable, and for the price, figured I couldn’t go wrong. My intuition was on par. After installing; an average of 30 min, only due to the small screws you have to remove, the Macbook now can see the HD. Now all I need is to reinstall Snow Leopard, so I can have an OS that I can update to Sierra. Might I mention, it’s a 2010 MacBook Pro.

Missed the mark on this one.
Came with parts unattached. Adhesive clearly wasn't holding or the piece simply were never set to stick in place. The adapter that connects to the harddrive felt like a stuck car rotor going on and off my ***BRAND NEW*** SSD drive. So I backed out of putting it back on after taking it off. Lastly, the cable to the main board was too short.
