Does NOT fit American Maid bottles
I have 5 American Maid jugs, and read the reviews quickly that said these fit. I should have read more, because they do not. However, I read another review on here that mentioned using plastic wrap to help.I tried that. Pulled out a length of plastic wrap, and fold it length wise in half, then in half again, then one more time until it's about 1/2 -1 inch wide. I wrap it very tightly around the threads of the bottle (think shrink wrap, or Teflon tape tight) and then pop the top on. Do not screw it on! Push down on it very firmly, and voila! It fits very tightly. In fact, I cannot get them to come off with my own strength. Going to have my husband get them off because we need to fill them soon.Bottom line, they're not perfect, but with the plastic wrap adjustment, they stay on, they do not leak, I was able to put the bottle on the dispenser without playing "how much water can I get on the floor today?" So it's worth it to me.Hope this helps!

Does not fit an 53mm 5gal American Maid bottle:(
I was psyched to get this no-spill screw on cap for two 5gal American Maid bottles. When I tried to put it on though it could not catch the thread at all. It would pop off easily and it was pretty obvious it could not hold water once inverted. It really annoys me that the top review for this Zerone bottle cap says it fits an 5gal American Maid water jug.The real deal with the 5 gal American Maid jug is that they are cheap but come in a 53mm mouth and not the standard 55mm mouth. The top review says it will fit if you press down hard, but I will say it doesn't matter how hard you press, you will not make it fit on the 53mm threads. Another review said it can pop over the threads and hold just long enough for you to quickly get the bottle on the water dispenser. This could work but totally negates the reason for getting a so-spill screw on cap.A 55mm cap for a 53mm thread... Arghhh! SO CLOSE!!! But there are work arounds. Here is what I did: I took a piece of plastic wrap folded about 2-4 times and wrapped it around the threads. Now the cap got traction on the threads. I did this and inverted the bottle without any spills. I wanted to be classy with a so spill cap but practicality and frugality have brought me to using this work around. I'll survive. There are more important things in the world to worry about.

If you have American Maid water jugs, you NEED these caps!!
I have a top-loading water cooler and I have 3 jugs for it, all American Maid brand, the cheaper ones sold at Walmart. I have a 5-gallon round, a 3-gallon round, and a 3-gallon square stackable bottle. They come with the white hard plastic lid for transport but American Maid does not make a lid for loading onto your water cooler, so I've been using a method where I put plastic wrap on the spout, secure it with a small rubber band, then poke a small hole in the middle with a knife. Not the best, but I've never mastered loading these things without spilling a ton of water otherwise. Let me tell you, **this listing right here is what you want!!** Like others have said, you have to kind of force the blue cap onto the spout, but they WORK! Remove the blue tab off the top of the cap but leave the white inner tab intact. That inner tab opens up when pierced by the piece in the middle of your water cooler. These caps are a life-changer for me and make loading SO easy! As a side note, I hate the square stackable bottle and only bought it because they stopped making the round 3-gallon bottle, apparently, and I can't easily lift a 5-gallon so I prefer the smaller bottles. The square bottle has a shorter spout and, as a result, it's easier to spill even more water when loading. It also doesn't sit down as deep into the well of the water cooler. So I was afraid these blue caps wouldn't work on the shorter spout, but I just used it on the square bottle and was able to load it with zero spillage! LOVE these things! Worth every penny! When the jug is empty they're a little stubborn to come off the cooler because of this lid, so be prepared for that, but no big deal at all.

Doesn’t Fit American Maid Walmart 5Gal Jugs
Another review said these caps fit the American Maid 5 Gallon Jugs that have the thread top but they do not work. The size and thread is not the same unfortunately.

Doesn't fit my "American Maid" Plastic bottles
It looks like it's well made, but it doesn't fit my "American Maid" Plastic bottles. The threads are right, but it can't screw all all the way down because of a lip around the bottle so it can not seal and leaks, We are using it in our cooler dispenser, just can't use them to transport water.

Mostly compatible with Walmart "Watermain" bottle
These were the only caps I could find that reviewers confirmed work with the walmart brand water bottles. As others said, they aren't quite the right size, but pretty close. NOTE: Do NOT install the washers that come with these - they will not fit the watermaid bottles if you do - I had to take them out. They *loosely* snap on the watermaid bottle. The first two times I used them, when I pulled the bottle out, the cap stayed on. The third time, it came off and stayed in the water cooler. Thankfully, I can pull the lid/cone/top of the cooler off and easily get the lid out. Check that you can do this with your cooler! Or rig up some duct tape or something so you can pull it out (wash everything). These are otherwise great lids - and they do work perfectly for me. It's not a water-tight seal, but it's close enough - no spills when I put the bottle on the cooler, even though it's not a tight seal. Much better than tipping over an open top bottle where a cup or two spills!

2 1/8 inch lid for 2 inch bottle
These caps would be 5 star if they were 1/8" smaller. They are threaded but are loose on my 5 gallon bottle. I kept them -- I suppose with a few layers of plastic film over the bottle top they would suffice for transfer of water home from the refill device at the store.

Worked ok on a 5 gallon bottle I bought at a walmart store
The cap was a bit hard to get it started threading on the neck. I had to match up the thread starting points on the cap and neck and push down. I use it with a water bottle pump so I don't have to remove it. I think these caps were designed to work with the water bottle pumps. They have a removable plug in the center that the pump hose can go through. If you don't use one of these caps with the pump it wobbles around very loosely.

Bon produit
Très bon produit... la seule chose, je ne savais pas qu'il y avait différentes grandeurs de bouchons pour les bouteilles d'eau... Ils étaient trop grands pour mes bouteilles... Toutefois, le produit est excellent.

Not suitable for just any water jug
I bought them for my 18.9 l water jug, but they don’t fit. The thread is bigger than the mouth of the jug.
