Works Very Nicely.....
Working very nicely now, Thank you... although when it arrived I thought it could have been packed a little better however other customers have given good reviews so the postal method must be ok..!!I was upgrading my motherboard and CPU and this 3.16Ghz was the second CPU I bought (the first being from a very different source) to check which was defective..motherboard or first CPU. When I installed this 3.16Ghz... same result... not working.!! At this point my thoughts were leaning towards a motherboard fault, however, the people I bought the motherboard from were leaning towards the CPUs being at fault, so as a further test, I reinstalled my old ECS motherboard and CPU which still worked but both the first CPU and this 3.16Ghz did not work. This was confirmation that the CPUs were faulty... next, I talked to Amazon who offered me a refund and agreed it was probably a 'one off' because there were quite a few good reviews for this product. I also explained because of the number of good reviews, an 'A to Z' was not needed here. After talking to Amazon, I realised that I was at square one again needing a new motherboard and CPU.. I didn't want to forget about upgrading, and with the pressure mounting for a working system, I sourced another similar motherboard which arrived quite quickly and had a CPU included as well. This one worked fine.... so..... I then decided to try both the first CPU and this 3.16Ghz just to see... and to my astonishment both were were working fine...This not only made me feel bad about the refund (which I corrected promptly), it also meant that my old ECS motherboard did not accept the first CPU or this 3.16Ghz even though both CPUs were listed in the motherboard specs.
