Light!
Lightweight, and while not as strong the titanium spoon it's light and small

Great colapsable spoon.
Surprisingly strong for what it is. Super light and long enough to be very versitle. I take my short wide mouth food thermos on winter bike, Snowshoe, hiking etc trips. The spoon is Long enough to get the soup or chili out of the bottom of the thermos, and then short enough folded up to drop it inside the thermos for washing when I get home. I have several of the folding spoorks and spoons.

Foldable spoon for camping
Good for backpacking as it can fold into a smaller package. Very lightweight. Only con is durability. The spoon seems to be a little finicky. IMO. Tho time will tell.

Used the old model everyday for 5 years and it's still holding up!
Not sure about this but I've been using the older model EVERYDAY for the last 5 years. No kidding. Brought this as a backup but th eold one is still going strong. All I can say is that I prefer the old design mechanically.

Neat idea, super flimsy
I really like the idea of this because it folds up compactly and while unfolded is reasonably long and the spoon is normal-spoon-shapedBut the plastic is so flimsy it bends while trying to get even small amounts of food out of the bottom of a dehydrated food bag. I don't expect it to last long.

Best Thing is It Isn't a Spork
FINALLY, an foldable spoon that isn't a Spork! I got so tired of trying to clean a cup or bowl with a Spork - UGH! Who invented Sporks and thought they were useful? GREAT product.

Faulty Squeeze-to-fold mechanism (update)
Update: I purchased a second spoon and it folds and ubfolds smoothly every time. I think my first one was a lemon, therefore I changed my rating from a 3 to a 5.Squeeze-to-fold mechanism didn't work. I couldsee the opening widening, but it wasn't enough to prevent a piece of plastic from breaking off upon applying pressure.I haven't even used it yet and it's broken yet "fixed" (now that it moves from extended mode to fold mode). I'm hoping it won't collapse when I actually go to use it.

Very cool, but will wear out with time.
I originally purchased (2) Light-My-Fire titanium sporks to go with my Snow Peak Solo system but the size and shape of the sporks just didn't seem to fit "well" anywhere in my pack. I loved 'em but they had to go! Came across these MSR folding utensils and ordered a spoon and knife. They are still too big to nest inside my Snow Peak pot (when there is a fuel cannister in there) but they are easy to store anywhere in my pack. Only 4 stars because the mechanism that keeps these utensils "locked" open will eventually wear down as its just a little plastic "nub" that is cleverly cast into the shape of the parts. I think these are neat, but definately have a shorter lifespan than I would prefer.
