Looks expensive, but it isn't.
Jory Goodman of the Time Teller YouTube channel named this watch as one of the those watches that look expensive, but isn't. He's right. This is a very pretty watch that looks like it should cost a lot more than it does. If this was a mechanical watch from a manufacturer like a Patek Phillipe or an A. Lange and Sohne, this watch would have at least three more zeroes in the price. The instructions do take a little reading to understand. But they aren't too complex. It has a chronograph function and a perpetual calendar. It wears comfortably in the wrist and is not too thick. The leather strap is stiff and will require some breaking in. I bought a Barton silicone strap to put on it because it is more flexible, but the included leather strap doesn't have a quick release and I don't have a spring bar tool. Because of the stiffness of the strap, the watch does slide around on the wrist a bit. The watch does not have luminous hands, but it is more a dress watch rather than a diver or a sports watch. But this can be worn everyday also. It is a Seiko so you can trust the quality, and it is a clean functional watch for under $140. Definitely a great value for the money.

A lot of Chrono for a sub-$200.00 watch; features not found in watches 10X the cost.
The watch is beautiful and the Chrono, timer-wise, works great. 1/5 Chrono second hand means a Tach that can actually function to test speed. A regular 'tick-tock' quartz cannot be a Tachometer, no matter what the dial states. This is a mecaquartz with a second hand that moves like a mechanical watch-the real deal. The patterned dial is lovely and combined with the rose gold pushers, crown, and dial indecies make for a gorgeous statement and a joy to look at.The watch is about 44mm wide, 10 mm thick (wears very thin for a Chrono!) and about 50+ mm lug to lug. The long lug to lug means it does wear a bit big, but with the thin, and not-too-wide body, it's a definite go.Display is a bit hard to read with this combination of gold and white, so some might consider it a dress Chrono--but again, it is beautiful.I love the 'totalizer'--the lower dial that keep track of elapsed time--up to 24 hours! This feature sets this piece apart from almost every analog Chrono you could buy, of any make and for any price! This watch is the real deal---just read the reviews of this version, and it's variants. The downsides include no lume at all, and a non screwdown, and unsigned crown---- but considering the features and the look, especially at the paltry asking price, these are not real concerns. The real con and the potential problem. The watch sent to me had a top pusher that was far too easy to engage/disengage. I own 3 watches with Seiko movements of the same family (VK mecaquartz Chrono movements) and every one of them has a very positive pusher engagement. This particular watch, missing the protective crystal and backing plastics, was obviously previously viewed and probably returned for this pusher problem. Normally I don't care if a watch has been previously, if carefully handled, but only if it works well. This watch doesn't so I am returning it and ordering the variant with the white dial/blue hands ---easier to read and less dressy--from another vendor--maybe a bad batch of watches is the cause of the problem.I am going to miss this watch though; it is stunning to look at (considering price point). If you want a beautiful Chrono for dress, get it---one look and you will see how good it is.Will update if the new watch has the same pusher problem--I doubt it will but you never know.

Superb quality at an unbeatable price
Considering that this is a top of the line chronometer and that it has dual time, perpetual calendar, and an alarm, it is relatively "small" and "slender," a perfectly reasonably sized man's watch. It is also quite beautiful, aesthetically impeccable in my opinion. It keeps very accurate time (I have tracked it with a radio controlled Citizen) and is very easy to use, although I expect that setting it up might be somewhat complicated (it was set by the seller, so I didn't have to do this). The date, day, and month dials are very well executed and extremely attractive. All in all excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.

Beautiful sweep, beautiful watch
Beautiful watch. The hand used as the stopwatch hand in the long one, like it should be. It's got a small dial for the seconds hand. I hate it when a watch uses a small dial for the stop watch. (Yes, I said "hate". I live in a first world country and I rate my life's problems accordingly.)There's a really nice sweep to the stopwatch that makes it look like an automatic when you leave it running. My only complaint, and I'm not deducting points for it, is that it can be a little difficult to read sometimes. The dial and the hands don't have much contrast. So it gets less wrist time than I thought it would. But when it does find it's way into the rotation it looks absolutely stunning in sunlight.

Best watch you can get under $200
I’ve a small collection of watches and this is my favorite so far.It looks really beautiful, the perpetual calendar is so convenient, the chronograph works great (including tachometer) and even has alarm function. It’s a very complete watch. The only disadvantage I see at this moment is related to the setup, you really need to read the user manual before setting the time, date and alarm. On the bright side, you only set up once and then it goes until the battery dies in five years.

Great value for money
This watch is very nice, the calendar functions work properly and as far as I can tell it keeps time well. I love the pink accents personally. I highly recommend this watch it is a great price too.

Looks great
Looks phenomenal. Really happy with functionality of it too. Only complaint is the strap is really stiff out of the box and you'll have to wear it for a little bit until it gets better.

My Great Perpetual Calendar Watch
I received my new Seiko watch late in November 2020. After three weeks, here are my impressions.I love the watch. Mine is the Perpetual Calendar Model SPC129P1 and it has rose-gold accents on a silvery-white watch face. The case has a shiny silver-looking case and the three controls at the right side have a rose-gold finish; everything considered, the watch looks striking and beautiful.I chose that particular model because I thought its dial was less cluttered than some other Seiko Perpetual Calendar watches; there are markers instead of numbers for the twelve hours but, because the Hour and Minute hands are gold-colored on a whitish background, I find I often have to move my wrist just so to see the time clearly. If I had to do it over again, I would possibly get the model with big black hour numbers and a white dial instead of gold markers and hands. Most importantly, all six hands of this other watch are a beautiful dark blue. That would probably make it easier to tell time at a glance for me.The three dials are small, necessarily, and I find I need my reading glasses to be able to read them. The same observation applies to reading the date and month. There is one thing I would change. Instead of beginning at the pivot point like most watch hands do, this watch’s stylish hands extend the other way by something like 5mm and, as a result, when either hand points to 6:00 o’clock, the hand’s extension hides Friday on the Day dial at the top. Conversely, if the hands point to 12:00 o’clock, it is the top of the 24-hour/Alarm dial at the bottom that is hidden. Another good point for the watch with the blue hands mentioned above is that it does not have stylish extensions on its two big hands. My watch came with an instructions manual a half-inch thick so I made my own two-sided one-page instructions document. This is concise but contains all essential instructions I need on how to set and operate the watch, its three-position crown and the two buttons that control all functions for the chronometer and the alarm. I carry the folded piece of paper with me in case of need but, once you know the essential parts, the rest is easy. I would recommend you do the same if you purchase this watch.Other things of note: The alarm, to me, is inaudible to all practical purposes. The fact I am no longer a young man is the likely explanation. Finally, and this is probably an inconsequential peeve on my part, I would like it if the red crescent that cradles the date was extended 1mm closer to the date numbers. The brown leather watchband goes nicely with my watch but it is very stiff and it does not bend readily around the sides of my wrist. It likely will require a longer break-in period than three weeks.Would I offer this watch as a gift? It depends. The recipient should have professed a decided interest in specialty watches and possess enough dexterity to control the watch’s somewhat complex settings. That he or she should have good eyesight goes without saying.I am glad I bought my perpetual calendar watch. Theoretically, I will not have to change anything on the watch before 28 February 2100, and that’s eighty years. Sure, there are those pesky Spring and Fall one-hour changes to consider as well as the five-year battery life. Well, nothing is perfect but my watch is close to it as far as I am concerned.

Beautiful classy watch!
The watch is excellent and classy when it comes to design and quality. Amazon did a great job in selling this one at a good price. Lovely packaging too! Original Seiko watch. With the box. With a sizeable dial and textured leather strap, this watch suits formal to casual occasions. Would suggest men aged 30+ to consider this in their wardrobe. My husband loved it!

Estupendo reloj y muy asequible
Es todo un reloj de caballero. Elegante, de tamaño razonable sin llegar a ser ostentoso, la pulsera es más elegante que en las imágenes de la venta, maquinaria de Seiko, poco más que añadir.

Lovely timepiece - not too large
This is a beautiful timepiece, and made from quality materials. It looks like it does in the picture which is no bad thing. There are several functions for telling the date and time which make the various complications whizz round and looks neat. The rose gold hands on the the white dial don't provide the greatest contrast for telling the time, although they look lovely. Although not fulfilled by Amazon at the moment, Seiko do other models with different faces. At over 42mm I was worried the watch would be too big for my wrists, but it wears nicely and looks smaller than its size. This is due to the relative thinness of the timepiece and the curved lugs which bend around your arm.
