I absolutely love my weighted blanket! I am a hot sleeper but haven't had any issues sleeping with this. The bamboo fabric is so soft! Most importantly, my sleep has been vastly improved! I should have gotten this sooner.

Heavier than expected

This blanket is life changing! I'm writing such a long review because I can't stop talking about this being one of the best decisions I've ever made and I wish I'd gotten one years ago when they started talking about them! I've always been VERY skeptical because these are SO EXPENSIVE and I don't agree with everyone's opinion of things, but I have developed severe insomnia and severe anxiety so I can never fall or stay asleep. I used to sleep well because of the pressure from my cat sleeping on me...I actually couldn't fall asleep until he was on me. Always as a little kid I would ask my mom or other people to sit or lay on me because it made me feel safe and calm...I wonder if my mom swaddled me....anyway, I decided to spring on it and bought a fleece weighted blanket from Target and REALLY didn't like it. Now I know why they put it on sale for months. I was SWEATING so much, and the beads moved around as I moved, and I didn't think it weighed enough. I was like, yep, just as I suspected, not worth the hype...no weighted blankets for me. Then this popped up on Amazon on sale and it looked the way I thought it should look to be helpful...like beads not moving....I'll explain that in a minute, so I tried it. I liked that it was 20lbs because I did a calculator online about your weight and how much you need...Google it. So I got it, put it on, and was IMMEDIATELY like....yep! I think this is it!I immediately felt like everything was heavy enough and even across my body. I toss and turn a lot, but everything stayed evenly distributed. There's little pockets all over the whole thing that that holds the breads in place. I put up a picture, that's why they don't move. This blanket for the first could days prevented me from moving at all, but now that I'm used to it, it still really slows me down and keeps me from tossing back and forth. Very helpful! Also good is that it has a washable outer layer, but you don't want to have too wash it often! I put another picture of the million ties you have to tie and untie when you wash the outer layer and put it back on. This was how the Target one was too....it's the only way to hold the blanket in place under the outer layer. So don't go dragging this in dirty areas or spill stuff on it. I was afraid of having to wash often because I sweat really bad because of anxiety medication and the smell drives me insane, but this is the first blanket in a year that doesn't make me sweat, but also keeps me warm! I did research over the winter on how to keep myself warm, but also dry, I think this fabric is bamboo which was one of the fabrics Google said to use.....being cheap, I just went with quick dri workout clothes that I already owned....so if you have good problem and own QUICK DRI workout clothes, try that before spending the money on a bunch of new pajamas...and you can double purpose them...(workout clothes are actually for working out if you didn't know.) So the bamboo is another great benefit, which I read...cross my fingers... Will allow me to use this during the summer!I'm conclusion, I did not give ANYTHING about this blanket I didn't like...other than like EVERY OTHER BLANKET: $$$. But yes.... This blanket IS worth the money and yes...you DO need it. If you suffer from sleep or mental health issues, instead of thinking of it as a price tag, think of this as part of your treatment and/or a medicine that you don't have to refill. Also....Cats. The blue and white was my second purchase. My first purchase was the gray, as it was the only one available at that time. Either they were sold out or the others are new. The packaging and presention was extraordinary for both!The gray has a silky feel to it and seems that it should cost more than it does. It is 15 pounds and the weight is just right me. I have washed the outer duvet a few times already and it is still holding up...it is just the same as the first day! I usually sleep with it on top of other covers as the weight is soothing, grounding or calming. I have slept with Only the blanket and YES it is cooling. It does not make me hot. I hate being too hot when sleeping! I sleep in a cool air conditioned room with fans! In fall and winter - heating set to turn on when thermostat in 60s and I still have fans going at night. It is perfect for year round comfort. The gray bag that comes with it is a nice special touch for travel.The blue and white was only purchased because I was looking for a throw for the sofa. Unfortunately they do not offer a blanket at 10 pounds which would be great as a throw for me. So I was hoping I could somehow use the blue one for that. However, it is too heavy so I ended up using it for my bed this fall and winter. I removed the duvet from the gray and placed that along with the white bag - that comes with the blue one - inside of the Gray bag for storage! I love the two sides of the blue. It is Better than expected! The white side feels so incredibly soft, and does not shed at all. It also washes well. Blue makes things whiter anyway so I'm sure the white would stay bright or get whitter with every wash. This is why most laundry detergents are blue, and whiten teeth with blue uv light etc...The blue side is similar to the gray one I got. It has a smooth silky feel and a cooling sensation on skin. If you want a warmer side just flip. It's perfect for anyone on the fence about which one to get. If you think you want a warmer blanket but you're just not sure, you can't go wrong with the blue and white one. However, if you Know you are a hot natured person you may be happier with the ones that are smooth bamboo on both sides.If you think it's not working out, you may have the wrong weight. Or, it may be spread out too much on the bed. Try to bunch it up around you more. It will not effect the blanket as these blankets do not bunch up in a way that's makes you have to shake it back to shape. It does not fall down in the duvet. There are 12 ties, and the beads within blanket are sown in perfectly for even weight distribution. What supports these blanket can also become a chore. So, I rotate the blankets so I would not have to wash too frequently - 12 ties. Rotating or flipping helps!Once I figured out the blue and white was not what I was looking for I almost sent it back but couldn't. That's how much it impressed me!

The fabric is so smooth and always the right temperature, cool when its hot and warm when its cold. Go ahead and buy it, its worth the money 100%!

My husband bought two of these in twin size for our split king bed. He loves it and says he sleeps like a baby. He’s 6’3 180.I on the other hand am 5’0 and chunky. I love having blankets and layers. This material was soft and silky but I just could not get adjusted to it. It’s too heavy. Maybe if it was half the weight it would be comforting. Instead it’s like dead weight you cannot move around the bed. Felt like I couldn’t even pull it up or roll over with it.

My son struggles with sleep , this blanket , he says feels like he is being hugged .Its heavy , im 9 stone and folding or removing the cover to wash is a two man job , or a great workout solo .Really great quality and super soft to touch , and not too hot despite the weight

This, for us, does exactly what it's supposed to - provide a heavy weighted wrap around feeling to promote sleep. We fell asleep quicker, slept deeper and resumed sleep quickly if we awoke. The weight stayed evenly distributed, the grey bamboo material was smooth and comfortable.However, after a coupl of weeks we decided it was actually too heavy and even though it was the largest they offer, it wasn't large enough to cover both of us and fall over the edge of the bed. As a consequence it always ended up in a pile in between us.Summary, great quality and it works. The 12kg weight was too much for us, we would have preferred 9kg option i think. Also perhaps with a 6ft wide bed, we shoul have gone for 2 smaller blankets - one each.

Tried out this weighted blanket for the first time - I usually have a poor sleep pattern and thought it might help. Did lots of research as I also don't sleep well when I get too hot. I also wanted a weighted blanket that would work on a UK king sized bed and one for couples. Ended up with this blanket as it ticked those boxes and also was what I could get easily in the UK.Pros:Came with it's own washable cover and a very 80s velour bag to put everything in.Cover is made of bamboo - does appear to be less heat trapping than other materials.Definitely weighted adequately as per their advice and did give that enclosed feeling (11kg, 200 x 220cm - recommended for couples, our combined weight around 120 - 130kg).Generally less movement (harder to move...)The size recommended for couples covers a king sized bed with enough draping over all sides - your feet will definitely not get exposed.Cons:Doesn't seem to work for couples - don't think specific to this brand but in general. Lots of fighting about who dumped blanket on who, or trapped it in between and or rolled it over and managed to accidentally suffocate the other person. Reduced ability to move = more husband sleeping on back = more snoring. Sleep was generally as disrupted as before after trying for 10 nights or so.Feet get hot and hard to get them out!Product info said actual blanket made with glass beads and cotton cover - the label said there's polyester and glass so unsure if the weighted aspect is just glass beads (which is what I wanted) or a mix of polyester and glass (didn't want this).Bamboo cover crinkles easily (minor issue).It's a real shame as I really hoped that this might help with my sleeping issues. Contemplating buying the normal king sized one (which won't drape too much over the sides) and trying that for just myself but not really keen on sleeping alone. Other reviews have said about it making existing pains worse - this didn't happen with me. Returned for all the reasons above. Returns process via Amazon easy and efficient.

Best blanket ever, I'm not even kidding. It came with a beautiful storage bag, and the cover was already on the blanket. I love a heavy blanket as my mum used to make heavy quilts when I was young. I never thought to get a weighted blanked until I saw an advert. I was diagnosed with perimenopause a few months ago, so this blanket is perfect to ease the severe hot flushes I was experiencing in bed. Blanket is so good, I must just crawl back into bed now! lol

Heavy to shake and put straight. Did think it would be like a double size blanket more like a generous single.
